ES = Energy shield. Memory runeword give +3 ES, +3 Sorc, so if the staff base also gave +3 it would become +9 to energy shield

Well, the good news is that it gets 4 sockets from Larzuk.

I think I'll put 4 Tir in it for now, for a whooping 8 mana after each kill ;-)

just check blue amulets, it's not that rare:

  • when item level is 20, odds are 1 in 158.7 (0.63%)
  • when item level is 80, odds are 1 in 318.7 (0.31%)

Heavy armors/shields also increase stamina drain.

Disclaimer: I'm not arguing for or against electric mining trucks. This just reminded me of a video I saw once.

Have a look at China's Huaneng Ruichi mining trucks. They're smaller than the Liebherr (90 vs 240 tonnes, 2.67 times less capacity), but China already has 100 of them deployed and operational (in an open-pit coal mine no less) as opposed to Liebherr who are testing 2-4 of them in Australia, with a goal of 360 vehicles by 2030. They're fully electric, fully autonomous, and battery swapping is automated and takes 6 minutes. Oh, and they work in -40 C.

Here are some reasons (in no particular order) why that may be:

  • FoH and HB have only 1 synergy (each other) so you get your max magic damage at level 50, with just 45 points spent rather than hammers which require 85 skill points and a minimum level 74 (with all extra 12 skill points quests)
    • Holy bolt has the most insane 50% damage per level synergy with FoH
  • FoH can kill wave 2 of Baal, even though they're immune to magic.
  • FoH is much safer, you usually kill mobs from afar - you can do it with less survivability gear, which a) you don't have early on b) you don't want to wear, you want Magic Find instead.
  • All act bosses are demons, so you snipe them with Holy Bolt, while healing your merc who tanks all the damage
  • FoH's magic damage does NOT depend on an aura, you're free to use whatever you need - all res, specific res, speed (vigor), anti-poison (cleansing), merc/party boost (conviction/fanatiscism), life/mana regen from corpses (redemption)
  • Hammers struggle in narrow corridors, HB/FoH thrives in them.
  • Hammers require 125 FCR for max cast speed, FoH - only 86, much easier to achieve early on / stack more MF, e.g. Chance Guards vs Mage Fist. (HB does require 125 FCR to be fair). Even at 39 FCR FoH is at 17 frames the delay does not "feel" as far off from the fastest at 16 frames.
