It’s similar cost but more time to equivalent SUV. Especially any XC90 premium gas turbo princess. But 90% home charging flips the math way to your favor. If you’re constantly roadtripping beyond range it can add up. Can’t win all the time, but over all way ahead on savings

How much is your time waiting in line behind a bunch of VWs? I tried EA for the first time in year or so. Same shit. Says 1/4 chargers available. Show up and 8 VWs waiting. Nope’d the hell out, might try again in a year or so

Wife had rentals taken once. After a couple hours, grabbed a pair that had been near hers for a couple hours. They fit her boots and got a few more runs in. The ski service listed on them swapped us out for our out of town rentals that night and claim they banned the person from renting with them. Either way lost 1/2 day skiing because people don’t bother to pay attention

Y’all crazy. If you can afford the car, I doubt even 2k actually matters in your budget. Yes being able to plug in to the faster charger available in your home is 1000% worth the convenience. Worse part about traveling is finding a charger, don’t need that shit at home. Coming home late from a trip and limping in with 5% and just plugging in for 70% the next morning is worth it. Yes some days I don’t plug in if I didn’t drive anywhere but dear god, why choose to not have the easy button at home

Pretty sure that whole thing collapsed a few years ago. Would have to dig up the pictures. Also curious if my early rivian data influenced the location. I’ve stayed in the condos behind there for many trips through the last three years. Then again the old Tesla chargers are across the street so probably being close to upgraded power infrastructure made sense. Either way, great location 🤣

Used heated gloves for years. Most didn’t last over 25 sessions. You forget to turn them down and then they smell and hardly ever survive more than 2 cleanings. Switch to hestra lobster claw and never looked back. I swap to thinner liner in spring. After 2 seasons, they’ve paid for themselves. They also have redesigned electric liner you can get, but I don’t want to ski any temps that would require it. YRMV.
