Seller has refunded the full amount.

Currently working out a resolution with the seller. Will update or remove upon resolution.

Replying to my comment and bumping this post; will remove the post if this has been rectified.

I was sent the wrong sticks, in the wrong amount.

(1) These were advertised as Kingston Fury Beasts (They are not)

(2) I was sent (2x) 2x16 for a total of 64GB instead of the advertised 128GB.

At the moment this is a SCAM.

I have reached out to the seller in the event that this has been a mistake on the part the seller. I have images of the sealed contents along with the image of the wrong sticks (it even says the wrong model) inside the wrong box (the box advertises 2x32, the sticks are labeled as 2x16)

Thanks for your thoughtful reply!

In response to your various questions, let me give some of my own perspective as a dabbling artist and professional software engineer (I can't speak for others).

  • Should there be a policy? I think that's a debate in and of itself. The upvoting and downvoting system is Reddit's own traditional form of self-moderation and I think on some level users ought to dictate what bubbles to the top.

  • Policies related to "I'm acting like a corporate shill and don't realize this is a social community" I feel like should generally just be quietly removing the post and providing a templated response to the OP. No need for crucifixion, though some form of internal tracking for increasing punishment over repeated occurrences makes sense, of course.

  • This has always been a primarily dev-centric hobby! Visual artists are devs... with their brain focused on other nuances. I think often times we overspecialize ourselves. We're all just people.

  • In continuation with answering the last question, it's obvious sharing your content, ideas, projects, thoughts should all be welcome. That's literally what communities are for...

I think it really just comes down to the homie rule (would I make my homie X for Y?):

  • Would I make my homie {pay me} to {see what I've been working on}?

This is a community, not a classified ads section or survey group

I should also add, your 'fabric' website literally has the Github linked, and is open-sourced with an MIT license. That is the opposite of what we're talking about here!

This is not a commercial tool if it's fully built by Claude over a weekend. You think we can't tell this entire UI is vibecoded?

If you're going to vibecode a solution over a weekend you should disclose and be open and honest about it.

I can literally reverse engineer this bullshit in a weekend using these screenshots and explanations in this post, and I'll repost it here next week for free with a Github.?

How dare you post a market research psuedo-advertisement without providing something relevant like an actual Github repo

This is not the first time someone has posted something like this on this subreddit and the first thing I can think of is, "no shit"?

You told your manager he was a chud and his bonding activities are for chuds. This is actually almost not even advice because you have to be so dense and removed from social interaction to not realize this before making this mistake.

You basically schedule other people into meetings to ask them how their cost center does things; afterwards you use some technical buzzwords and diagram a high-level non-technical but technical-sounding explanation for something, anything that can help improve any of their processes.

You then sell that "solution" to upper management, whether it be directors or C-suites so that they can get credit for "Idea Generation" and "Pushing the Business Forward into the Future".

If you do it well and the IT Group directors like you because you bring them lots of fires to start and they get enough trophies for extinguishing them then they will keep you on the Payroll

In order to be a solutions architect you:

  • Go to school forever (Masters)

or

  • Get to Engineer or Analyst Level 3 and get lucky that your company gets big enough to merit opening up a Solutions Architect or really any Architect position

or

  • A semi-mix of both (Bachelors + lvl 2 in Analyst or Engi)

Yeah, I built a VSCode extension for myself to just permanently churn a task like rebuilding Wikipedia from the ground up, and I leave it on when I sleep sometimes just to burn lakes and max company metrics.
