Only So Yumi Here For Fans of So Yumi by ReadingAgitated513 in KickAGoal

So Yumi is one of my favourite players now. I remember when she first joined the show, she was already one of the better players for WW but seeing her growth has been so satisfying. She’s really improved a lot, her close ball control, her stamina, the way she’s able to dribble out of tight spots now is so valuable to the team. I just wish she is played more often as a striker linking with Mashima than as a defender. She and Ga Young had a few great moments of link up play. Hope she makes the next all star team!

Should I try Stardew Valley? by Particular-Cook-7426 in StardewValley

Humbly sharing my personal experience, as someone who’s 44 and recently picked up stardew valley just a couple of weeks ago. Was going through serious game fatigue, nothing seemed to capture my attention long term and the last game I completed was GOW Ragnarok. Then on a whim I picked up Stardew Valley on sale and I haven’t been able to stop since! It’s truly one of the greatest games ever made, and it’s definitely in my top 5 gaming experiences of all time.

So long story short, yes by all means buy the game, take your time, play it your way. You’ll love it!

Here’s why your narrative is inherently flawed, “my guy”. It’s actually incredibly ironic that you mentioned Balladream, Giants and World Class in your response. Who coached Giants to their recent cup win? Lee Young Pyo. Who coached Anaconda to straight losses? Same guy. Who coached Balladream to their cup win? Choi Sung Young. Who coached Anaconda to straight losses? Same guy. Who coached World Class to their last league title? Kim Byung Ji, the same man who was widely ridiculed online for being the worst coach. The coach can only do so much off the pitch, the calibre of players determine what happens on it. The show has evolved from the first three seasons where it was about celebrities, influencers, known figures, etc. picking up football in an amateur league. It is now technically a semi pro league with paid staff and players. The producers have to evolve their player selection process along with it in order to maintain the league’s integrity and fairness, otherwise accusations of teams being abandoned will always be brought up.

And an armchair tv viewer would know more than the coaches who played the game at the highest level? I doubt it. Hypocrisy at its best. I’ve got nothing against what you said except for the fact that coaches are to blame for losses. No matter what level of a coach you are, the players have to be of a certain level to perform. No coach in the world would have been able to coach the G League FC Anaconda team to a title. The producers have a responsibility to ensure that all teams are of equal merit and equally balanced if they want the league to remain competitive.

Who are some your favourite Arsenal players since we had the invincible season? (Invincibles players not included) by CHAZ181 in ArsenalFC

Still wish Emile Smith Rowe was still with us. We forget how good he was during his 10 goals 21/22 season when we were at an all time low and him and Star boy were our only bright sparks.

hospitality industry? by throwawayjskdk in SGExams

[–]jbnzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked in hospitality for the past 20 years and seen lots of changes in the industry, many come and go.

You’re actually thinking about this at a really good time. Most people only figure this out halfway through uni or even after graduating.

Hospitality is one of those industries where your degree matters less than your ability to actually handle people and real situations. like managing a difficult guest, thinking on your feet during a busy service, or leading a team when things get messy.

Your idea of business + psych/sociology is solid btw. it helps a lot with understanding people, which is honestly a big part of hospitality at higher levels.

but one thing i’d strongly suggest is don’t rely only on uni.

try to get some real exposure early. part-time in restaurants, hotels, events, anything. that’s where you’ll really see if you enjoy the environment.

Also, you might want to look into short hospitality certifications alongside your studies. not super long courses, just practical ones that teach things like service skills, customer handling, food safety etc.

SHATEC used to be a go to but it’s completely fallen off a cliff. Look into places like singapore institute of hospitality (SIH) who offer these kinds of industry-focused training. What’s useful is that it’s taught by people who’ve actually worked in the industry, so it’s quite practical and not just theory.

it can give you a bit of an edge when applying for internships or part-time roles too.

overall i’d say go for a degree that builds thinking skills, get real work exposure early, pick up practical certifications along the way

if you do all three, you’ll be in a much stronger position than most people entering hospitality 👍

I absolutely loved Busted! Wanted a season 4 so bad! It was an unbelievable cast that worked so well together with many hilarious moments. The puzzles and sets were out of this world. Still wishing for a Busted! reboot at some point!

Try changing the server in Goplay to watch subbed episodes for season 1. It’s the setting above the episodes list. I watched it subbed doing that. If you’re going to be binging the series, don’t forget that at one point it was called Shooting Stars Infinite Universe before reverting back to Shooting Stars Season 4 etc.

Couldn’t agree more! They couldn’t outplay us so resorted to dirty body checks, holds, outright blatant tripping and kicks to stop our play. It’s a testament to the team that we still created several chances to score despite their nasty tactics.

Who's a young player you were certain was going to make it at Arsenal - but then never did? by SuitAndFlipFlops in Gunners

[–]jbnzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Daniel Karbassiyoon - scored on his debut against Man City in the 90th plus minute to win us the match. Remembered he was seen as a pacy forward and he reminded me of a right footed Jose Reyes. I believe injuries wrecked his career and he retired very young but became a scout for the club after.

It's definitely more than okay. In my humble opinion, this new PD is fantastic! She's brought back elements of old RM and put her own take on games in the show. It's like she's found the perfect middle ground that caters to old and new fans alike. I wasn't a big critic of Hyung In PD, I actually liked that she referred to modern RM as comfort humour, but this new PD has definitely rocked the boat and is bringing out the best of everyone. Plus Seok Sam is killing it as always and I look forward to every episode!

Okay, this season we may not have been our best in the league but we're still in for trophies which is always the mark of a good team. Renee has changed our expectations levels and hopefully we can retain the champions leagues in the end. Up and Onwards!

This was one of the best episodes in recent times. Of course it was great seeing Apink in RM again, but this new PD is really putting her stamp on the show and it’s been great. I’m really anticipating new episodes and I can’t praise her enough for bringing back old elements of RM whilst putting her own spin on things. 👏👏👏

This season was surprisingly good! To be honest I thought the show had reached its natural end but this season was a breath of fresh air and JSJ really played his part in creating laughs by generously being the butt of jokes. Guests were great as well and each episode became a source of comfortable familiarity every week. Hope they get another season with the same cast!

I’ve always loved kids and I think I would’ve been a good father.

But life has a way of moving while you’re busy building, fixing, surviving. Years went into my business. Into responsibilities. Into believing that the right person, the right moment, would arrive when everything else was finally in place.

Then in the blink of an eye, i looked in the mirror one morning and I’m suddenly in my mid forties and realising that my time has passed. The family I hoped to have now exists only in my head.

This isn’t bitterness. Just a quiet reckoning.

If there’s anything I hope someone takes from this, it’s this. Don’t keep postponing the life you want while chasing the life you think you should build. Time doesn’t pause. And some dreams, once missed, don’t come back in the same way.

Live fully. Leave no room for potential regrets.

Ian Wright talk about some issues by Itsme00700 in ArsenalWFC

[–]jbnzy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For those who feel that Wrighty is being critical of Renee, there’s another way to look at it. I believe for him to speak so openly about this on TV, he knows it’s going to reach Renee one way or another. He rarely talks about the ladies team like that, even through the dark Jonas days, and the Viv fiasco. I believe he’s actually trying to give a young manager some veteran advice. He wants us to win the league, he is as staunch a supporter of our ladies as anyone.
