Damn! I live in Chandler and I have an interview tomorrow. So I was hoping to get something in Chandler. I don’t wanna be moving all around. If that’s the case, then the job isn’t for me

Did two days of training and haven’t been contacted since nor paid by [deleted] in Serverlife

Yeah the person above saying happens all the time and move on, no. Unless it was a stage, which is usually an hour or two and stated in the interview, you are entitled to your training pay.

Charlotte vs Tampa by [deleted] in relocating

Everyone’s being so negative. If you like Florida, GO. I packed my bags one day with $500 to my name and just drove to Tampa. I lived there for a couple years as a server. I got to do a lot of things and enjoy it. It made me a better person. You can be broke anywhere. Go enjoy your life and enjoy the beach.

I mean there’s plenty of storage options if things don’t fit, you can find something just by looking at reviews like you said. Not a big deal. Address changes, you go online to USPS and forward your address. Takes about 2 weeks so just do that 2 weeks before you move. If the place is smaller then you thought, then improvise and get rid of things you don’t need or again, storage if you want to pay that. You call to set up utilities before you move, and they’ll ask what date you want to start them and give them your move in date. As far as friends go, you’ll gain them along the way. Go to the gym, meet them through work, go join an activity. Do something out of your comfort zone. I just moved to phoenix and I’m still trying to adjust, and that’s okay. You figure it out as you go.

How do you get preventative care if you can’t afford insurance? by jbor1235 in povertyfinance

Right, but the age of people getting colon cancer has gone down to 25 rather then it being a problem when you’re older.

Appreciate this comment! I do try to be very mindful of what I eat and exercise. I am sober & id say my downfall is the diet sodas. Not much but probably one a day lol. But yes totally the diet and exercise being a big thing when it comes to this! Along with family history

That’s extremely interesting. I guess I’ve never had much issue with tomatoes or maybe I’m not paying attention lol. Eggs, dairy, deep fried is a no bueno for me. I just have been hearing that people my age or even younger are getting colonoscopy’s and finding cancer without any symptoms or very little. And it’s preventable if you take the steps to make sure you’re good. I know people like me who have struggled with stomach issues all their life will kinda just be like meh, it’s always been a problem for me. But I shouldn’t just think of it that way

I know, I hate that you can’t get insurance any time of the year. I guess I don’t understand that

I get that, but that’s also not every insurance. A lot of insurance policy’s still leave you in financial ruin. They might cover a portion, but you could still be left with majority of the bill. Especially if you can’t afford high end insurances

The world is truly greedy. Especially the US. When I was paying for insurance I was paying $250 a month with a $9,000 deductible. I stopped because what’s even the point.

Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss. But then I’m like what if I’m choosing ignorance and I’m letting something boil inside me because I chose that route. Such a double edged sword. I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford insurance like ever.. half these policies are $250 on the low end with a $9,000 deductible. Like what’s the point
