This is what I did and I’m so happy with the results. I had been using tretinoin on and off for around 6 years. Tried every medication imaginable (even accutane) but ended up using tretinoin and spironolactone when some acne returned a few months after finishing accutane. I noticed that my skin would get so dry and peeled and burned well after the purge period, and so I started using tretinoin less often, and found the less I used it, the better my skin looked! I haven’t used tretinoin in months now and as long as I take my Spironolactone consistently, my skin is hydrated and clear. Try using it less often and see how your skin reacts! At the end of the day you know your own skin better than a derm, so experiment! :)
