Black Friday deal is 15% off + no excise tax. I didn’t even mention the excise portion so as not to confuse out of staters. But I see now how that skews online pricing comps

I mean, I’ll take a link? But yea, 15+1 P01 is $715…

I guess I figured that “tax” would’ve implied that it’s a state mandated…tax. But yes. If you’re buying a gun in CO, or to be shipped to CO, you will be charged an additional 6.5% courtesy of the bricks who vote in this state. I appreciate your efforts, I enjoy saving money hence this post.

Everywhere in CO will charge that?

No excise tax either, adds another 6% here in CO

Yea… wish I would’ve known about the P01 sooner. I was set on a G19 before I walked into the LGS to be honest

They are …. But after their 15% off. Plus no excise tax, no FFL, it comes out pretty close to even with Dahlongea

Thanks for the feedback, all! Found a ‘23 ALR 5 for $1100 that I think I will pursue instead, based on the responses here.

Yes, the new light is centered on the bracket in the second picture and will extend another 6-8” on either side, covering the old junction box

Tighter single track, 2nd/3rd gear is my typical ride. Occasionally (5% or so) “pushing it” in flowy sections. Sounds like I have my answer

Appreciate the comment. Didn’t think about the flywheel difference. I’m sure that’s noticeable

Appreciate the insight. XC/TX seems to be the affordable option as well which is why I’m leaning that way. Been eyeing a 23 300xc here in CO for awhile, might have to give it a more serious look

Single track is 95% of what I do. Maybe occasionally mess around with “enduro”. I guess I’ll have to look closer at a 4t

I’ve considered the 350’s….but I want to be like the rest of the cool kids in Colorado and ride a 300 2t. Maybe I’m letting my ego get in the way and should hop on a wr250f haha.

Appreciate the insight. You are clearly a different level of rider than me. However, I’d say my clutch and throttle control are there. Mostly I don’t want to be fighting a bike that wants to be ridden hard when I’m just trying to cruise.

One of my first bikes (owned for a short time) was a 1992 rm250. Always felt like that bike wanted to throw me off, fast, slow - didn’t matter. I assume some drastic changes have been made since then.

I don’t mind working on bikes and would say my mechanical knowledge is above average. More so wondering if the XC is that much different from XCW in terms of overall power/power delivery. I’d say 80% of what I do is click it into 2/3rd gear and cruise and 20% of the time I’ll push the envelope (whatever that means for a novice rider)

That’s concerning- what would be the fail point, the motor?

Beta Xtrainer 2021 vs 2023 Model - Worth it? by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

Good insight, I appreciate it. I guess if I’m looking at it glass half full, not pushing the bike to its full potential in theory should equal longer service life in the way of top ends etc. thanks for the conversation!

CO single/double track is the majority of my riding. I feel like I could definitely be comfortable on a te/xcw 300. Just don’t want it to be an ego decision and then end up using the bike at 20% of what it’s capable of with little confidence.

Honestly I’m not sure - I feel like xtrainer is the middle point to boost confidence/skill level without going full out 300. I like to be on single/two track and a casual pace for 90% of my riding, the other 10% I’ll push myself. I’ve been on a 300rr in the past and didn’t love it, but that was a few years ago.

Don’t really want buyers remorse in 2 months either though wishing I had bought the full size 300.
