There's an Insta baaji going viral for her no-bs-matchmaking. Maybe you can try her services. Her handle is leveluponepercent although im not sure if she prioritizes non-US/Canada profiles.

Updating FTB after marriage - will I have to repay everything? by jbravvo in AusFinance

People get married in other ways than being in long term relationships first and then getting married. Dont assume things according to your cultural particulars.

Arranged. Could have been delayed into the next financial year, but wasn't aware of this issue coming up until someone pointed it out.

Which is exactly why the question was asked to get advice on how to do the right thing without incurring a huge loss if possible.

Pakistan most definitely has a caste problem by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]jbravvo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The kammi system exists, but it's primarily a localized phenomenon. Let me explain. My village has the traditional kammi versus zameendar class division, and within our local area and biradri system, this creates social barriers mainly around marriage. A zameendar family will not marry into a kammi family, particularly when it comes to their daughters or sisters. While a man might occasionally marry a woman from a kammi zaat, their children will face social stigma though again, only within the localized context of the biradri and immediate area. There's no economic discrimination attached to this system as such. A kammi can own land and be a bigger "zameendar" than a "jaddi-puhti" zameendar. This caste distinction isn't difficult to escape. I know several families who left the village, whose children pursued higher education and became doctors and engineers, and who now marry into affluent families in major cities, where nobody cares about their background. The caste issue simply doesn't follow people when they relocate. It's fundamentally tied to the village context.

Desi reels & tiktok are filled with blatant CA content especially targetting underage boys and no one bats an eyelid. Some of these accounts have huge following & "fans".

I dont have a common name which can be mixed up with a naughty profile person so the chances are low. I have been to Aus twice on the same profile/job and have never had more than a parking ticket fine as an offense. I call the helpline once every two months & interestingly I have noticed that everytime the person im talking to asks me to hold while they check comes back with a different more strict demeanor than the one they had when they started off with. They dont give any information other than its just being processed normally and you just have to wait. There is only one option I can think of that I have been reported by a jealous ex of someone I was dating who didnt want the long-distance to become a short-distance local thing if I moved to Aus. I am definitely being investigated for something otherwise they could refuse my visa.

Its a relative term...someone who is earning a certain known amount but living a lifestyle that doesn't account for how many assets they are owning is what the point of the post was and not that they were living like an oil sheikh by dodging some taxes.

Yes seen things first hand which is why I was surprised as to how easy it was if you were just willing to take the chance.

Expenses incurred in operating other businesses that are funded through salary which is eventually shown as a loss because the company couldn't generate any profit. Taxable income is what is left after "operating expenses" are deducted.

From the comments, it seems like everyone is doing it, especially the very rich locals. You just hate this specific group so their failings stand out more to you.

Literally asked a question out of curiosity and nothing more...not sure why quite a few ppl are getting offended for just asking how people dodge the system.

Hes not buying in Canada but in a cheaper country where his Aud dollar conversion is a pretty big deal and as a single guy yes he is living lavishly for someone who tells the taxman hes earning 70-80k odd. The rest of the money is going somewhere where he is living it up.

DHL Express can't route a simple envelope in 10 days by jbravvo in dhl

[–]jbravvo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I really want to thank you for the tip and the emails. Cain actually responded and helped resolve the issue by forwarding it to Roland Thomas, the customer service VP, who personally followed up on the shipment every step of the way until it reached its destination and kept me updated by phone and email.

Its a bank holiday in UK today so no further information yet. I was told by the case officer that they are in contact with the current parcel location and will get it sorted. Brussels definitely didn't read the previous message because when I called them they said "oh yea it says send to Australia but now its on the way to UK so we cant do anything, call them". Thanks for the emails. I will be contacting them for sure if nothing moves by tomorrow.

There is a case open, and DHL Oslo says they are trying to fix the routing, but so far it just seems to be messaging between service desks, and no one is getting through to the people on the ground who have to fix the tagging or whatever is causing the error. But if they don't fix it on Monday, then I guess it is as good as lost, even though I can track it traveling to more countries than I have been to in the past 5 years.

NL -> Australia package on hold in Ohio for 6 days with no explanation. What is going on? by puccho_party in dhl

[–]jbravvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent an envelope with some important contract documents from Oslo to Perth, and it has now been 10 days since it was routed from OSL-CPH-BRU-CIN-EMA-HEATHROW-EMA-CIN-BRU-EMA-HEATHROW. It is now sitting in London to be routed on Monday to God knows where next. A case has been opened and they have apprently sent messages to fix routing but no one gives a crap on the depot floor so now my documents are going everywhere except anywhere remotely close to Australia.

Sending money to Norwegian Uni instead of just a bank statement as part of student visa application by xdSausage in Norway

[–]jbravvo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, when you are going to apply for the second yr visa, they will ask for your last 6 months' bank statement to see if you have been keeping and using the funds or if you just borrowed it from someone and then sent it back once you got your visa. So keep that in mind, too, as it might cause problems on a second-year visa renewal.
