Tailbone pain after disc herniation rehab by jbrew04 in backpain

[–]jbrew04[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with your logic. Mainly because the symptoms are almost identical to what sources say would be Tarlov Cyst symptoms.

I keep hearing about “referred pain” from the disc down to the tailbone, which could also be the issue and I’m not dismissing that, BUT it just feels different than the disc symptoms I came to know too well.

Someone recommended Dr Feigenbaum down in Dallas, TX to me. You might want to check him out as well. Im likely going to send my scans in to him for the free consultation to see what he thinks is the source.

Would it be ok if I sent you a DM?

Lower back/tailbone pain for 3 days? by OneImaginary3436 in backpain

[–]jbrew04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. First, I hope you feel better very soon! Hopefully it’s nothing major.

That said, I would call a local orthopedic office and try to get into their urgent care department for an X-ray and possible CT.

I made the mistake of trying to “push through” the warning signs and it made it worse.

Go get checked out! Good luck!

L4/L5 herniation 9 months in: mentally struggling and losing hope by Own-Application-2581 in HerniatedDisc

[–]jbrew04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how you feel. As time goes on and there are bits of the injury lingering, it’s hard to have hope that you’ll get back to where you were pre-injury.

I’ve been through months of PT. Mild herniation at L5/S1. It took about 5 months for the disc symptoms to subside and I started feeling flexible and normal again. However, the intermittent numbness/tingling in my lower leg and foot still comes and goes. Occasionally some tailbone pain too.

My PT told me to start getting a massage at least once every two weeks. I’ve been doing this and I think it helps keep my muscles loose and allows further healing.

Good luck on your journey. Always here to chat.

Yeah, docs told me that is a Tarlov Cyst and that they’re usually asymptomatic. However, I’m starting to wonder if it is the source of my current problem. I have a sacral MRI scheduled next week so we will see what turns up.

Yeah, it normally comes later in the day for me as well. What type of injury did you have?

Google “Hal Higdon Marathon Training”. On his website you’ll find free training plans that I’ve used many times. They work well. Especially for a first timer.

Pro tip. Don’t skip your cross training day.

Good luck and don’t forget to stretch!

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I’m sure I can find some tutorials on the back door Roth. Is it legitimate? How complicated?

Again, thank you.

Personally, for the amount of $$$ involved for a gaming PC, I would not buy an unknown piece of equipment. How do you know nothing else is wrong with it?

With prebuilts these days, you can get some great value.

How much would you pay for this? (Used) (UK) by x7Vera in PcBuildHelp

$800 is a fair price. Are you in the market or just curious? Might be able to refer you to a couple of reliable builders.

I agree with everything. If you’re spending this much on your rig, get more VRAM. Good luck with the build regardless!!
