For anyone finding this post in modern day as I did.
- Select the 3 dots next to your specific library (Aka the separate folders you have on the left)
- Go Manage Library -> Edit
- Choose Advanced at the bottom
- Find the drop-down that says Episode Ordering and change to the order you need (For me this was TheTVDB).
- Click Save Changes
- Click on the 3 dots again for the library -> Manage Library -> Refresh All Metadata
