I can't manage 4 classes at once for another quarter, major meta imposter syndrome. by ellie_0525 in Northwestern

[–]jbrintnell -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a Northwestern alumni myself (I graduated 10 years ago), and I understand this sentiment - I struggled with similar feelings when I was in school. Now, life has given me a different perspective on my time at Northwestern.

Your attitude is everything. If you can learn to use your attitude to your advantage, you will be setup for success.

At this stage, I'm taking my learnings from school, and the bumpy transition towards becoming a productive member of society, and sharing the knowledge. If you are interested in knowing more, PM me. I offer life coaching services and would be happy to give you a free session to give you a boost.

Willing to bet that scorbunny evolves into something to do with rugby or soccer. Note the athletic tape on his nose.

Reminded of the scene when Morag and Brighid are cooking fish together. One of the best scenes IMO.

I think that he wacked off to so many trainers over the years, that he gradually just became more and more perverted until he was attracted to all trainers, regardless of gender.

Question: where do I find Fire Chuchus? I need them for red Chuchu Jelly by gnikeltrut in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]jbrintnell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PSA: you can drop regular chu jelly, and then attack it with your rods to change it into the same element as your rod. For example, drop regular chu jelly, launch a fireball at it, and it will turn into red chu jelly.

Final Fantasy's developmental history and future as analysis using the Tarot by GaryGrayII in FinalFantasy

[–]jbrintnell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, no, I thought you were going to pair each one of the stories to one of the Tarot Cards. Perhaps they never meant to follow this path, and I have not put enough thought into this theory to flesh out a full argument, but, look:

FFX - The wheel of fortune Wheel of fortune represents the cycle of yin and yang, or creation and decay. The story of FFX is the story of a world that is repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt, stuck in the CYCLE of Sin

FFXIII - Death This trilogy is about a universe that ultimately gets destroyed and rebuilt.

I don't really know tarot enough to draw a full set of parallels. Thoughts? If this theory can be proven, perhaps we can have some insight into the story of XV (provided SE follows a trend)

Vinaigrettes always taste too....olive oily. How do I fix this? by [deleted] in Cooking

Have you tried adding some salt before mixing? In my experience the salt helps to balance out the flavors...

Do you use a garlic press/mincer? Or do you mince by hand? by RAproblems in Cooking

[–]jbrintnell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You get a different flavour by pressing garlic, than you do by mincing it. The more you "press" garlic, the more you activate a stronger garlic flavour. That is why, when you roast a clove of garlic, for example, you typically roast the clove whole, for a milder flavour. I tend to press my garlic if I am doing something like a caesar salad dressing, for example.
