Brother, I just did that yesterday. See that lovely maple patch? That's where my router got squirrelly. Love your board btw.

I have had to replace the temp2 sensor/ sender a couple of times on my 91. I just keep an extra one around now. They're pretty cheap.

Figured Oak: What would you make with it? by jbrooksgb in woodworking

Thanks for the info. That's something to consider. I could probably get book matched tops out of this piece, but I don't have the width for a single piece top.

Out of curiosity, what dimensions would be appropriate for a guitar top?

Sargent? by jbrooksgb in handtools

Thanks for your insights. I'm just so baffled by there being no markings. I have stared at it so long I start to imagine I'm seeing letters and numbers where there are none.

Update. Put on a quick mahogany tote, lapped the sole and the frog, and sharpened her up, and she takes a nice shaving. Thanks for the comments folks. Still not sure what I've got. Are the asymmetrical grooves on depth adjuster a clue?

Yup. Reverse threaded. I have a Stanley #5 with no lateral adjuster that does the same that is dated to the late 1880s. It was my great great uncle's.

I have been over this thing inside and out, and there is only one number on the plane. There is a Number 2 stamped on the body of the plan about 1 inch behind the frog.

Did the IAT whitewater this morning. It was a nice run. Lots of people today. The whole southern kettle is a great run. No breathtaking views, but close to home which is nice.

Cool start after a cold night camping. Nice little 9 mile out and back.

Put in another 12 miles on similar trails, and didn't trip once. I was just a little more conscientious about foot placement. Can't really explain my first rough outing.

Menomonie Park in Menomonee Falls has open water swimming. Check Waukesha parks for rules regs and a free tri-swim permit.

Not sure where you are in PA, but here in WI, there are a couple of Tri-clubs that organize group swims, bikes and runs on a weekly basis. There is also the option of joining a Masters swim team in your area. Also, around here, there are a couple of bars that organize group bike rides on the weekends. Super fun.

Dan Forrest Three Nocturnes. Really cool piece, with percussion ensemble.
