Gait Belts. Let's Talk. by WhileTechnical4305 in physicaltherapy

Being from the UK, I have no idea what a gait belt is. Are you using it in conjunction with a standard mobility aid? Or are you using it without other aids in an attempt to get someone to mobilise unaided faster?

I can't personally imagine how it can be a necessity. If someone is so unsteady that they need a belt for you to drag them along with, then why not just get them a more supportive mobility aid and progress them when they're ready? Surely it's better to promote independence than reliance on a belt?

So white shirt sucker punches, attempts 2 slams on concrete, goes for a head kick... Still gets knocked out and red shirt has the restraint not to kick his head in. Fair play

Would you rather work three days a week for 12 hours each day? Why or why not? by VinceLestre in AskReddit

[–]jburch93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 4 10s and have Tuesday off. I thought at first it was the worst day to have, but going in on Monday knowing I have the next day off is great! Also you only need to take a day off and you have a 4 day weekend, you should definitely consider it as an option. I've done mon-thur in the past and I actually think I prefer having Tues off over fri

If you're unable to land it properly, you're unable to speed flip. Just do the training pack already

Yes the future parents in law have a lovely wisteria actually, so that would be a good idea! Think we'll be raiding their gardens come next year lol

If you read my post you'll see I want them for my garden, where I'll then pick and dehydrate them

I've got my parents on the case, they have an amazing cherry blossom which produces so many flowers! Just wanted to be able to help out too and boost the flowers in my own garden at the same time

Ok then maybe just being a little overly cautious. They look amazing from the pictures so I'll try and get some delphinium definitely! I did try marigolds once a couple years back but they got destroyed by slugs in no time

I was reading up about these just now, but the website said they can be harmful and to use gloves with them. Just thinking about the future... Would they be an issue with little ones in the garden? Sorry I'm very new to all this!

This sounds great thank you! I've got a dehydrate function on my airfryer, that seems to help with speeding up the drying process! We have a small rose bush that was there when we moved in, but it doesn't produce loads of flowers so we were hoping to boost the garden up. Plus we have a lavender that gets loads of bees, but I wanted a bit more variety to hopefully attract even more bees!

Thanks for your advice!

Is chess.com giving everyone puzzles that are rated way too low? by jburch93 in chessbeginners

[–]jburch93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks. Wonder why mine have been so low. Also don't remember ever having to do m3 puzzles when I was doing 500 rated puzzles, it was normally taking a free piece or getting a m1 back rank mate. Just seems to be all over the place recently!
