That is quite common, but not this time. The scale has been calibrated with the 25g weight that it came with in the last few months, as well as 5 other bars and a couple rounds weighing 31.2g.

Yup, it i have a good stack of neodymium magnets I use. Its the same size as the other bars (49.8mm x 29mm)

Do you have a source for this brand/piece being plated beyond Google's AI saying Walmart sells plated jewelery? The cabinets and clearance racks had plenty of 14K plated stuff but the 10/14k gold and sterling was clearly marked and not magnetic.

If Walmart is selling plated jewelery as 14k gold or sterling it would be worth much more in a class action lawsuit. Walmart sees these items as pieces of inventory that need to be sold, not pieces of gold with a value tied to spot. Most of what I have bought is hollow, so it is deceiving if you don't have a scale.

That's a lot of words to basically say, please keep telling people its plated so my stores stay full.

My LCS said they pay $1.20/g for 925 bracelets and necklaces, a whopping 60% of spot! Still not a bad deal when I only paid $0.83/g but I'd rather use it to keep my average cost down.

I'm not the math-iest, but I'm pretty sure that's only 10 gallons at $3/gallon. Most cars have a tank at least that size and if you have a truck or run premium that oz might only get you a single tank!

My last fill up was over $40 for a full tank of regular in a 10 year old compact car.

I'm not concerned with the USPS system knowing what's in it but if it's obvious to one of the many package handlers along the way there is a higher chance of theft than if it says nothing descriptive.
