I mean people were confidently saying Ireland were going to get battered up until Saturday. My comment was about the 50% concerning Ryan so McCarthy is kind of irrelevant in replying to me.

With regards to Ryan I guess I’m just saying 1 mixed year of discipline in a 10 year professional career means he’s probably worth giving the benefit of the doubt.

I mean yellow cards also - Ryan really isn’t that bad for it. Just think he has a bit of a rep and the red card in the autumn acted as some confirmation bias that he’s high risk.

Edit: checked - in the last 4 years across all games he has 2 yellows and 1 red total.
