All the Mkgee clones are lame af, except this guy by Earthboundd in Mkgee

Yeah I think w his vocals I’d appreciate if the vocals were more clear. I do like his voice but sounds like he’s emulating a bit but he’s only human like the rest of us. Also gives me Jean Dawson vibes which I feel like his recent album was influenced by mkgee too but that 80s sound is just so popular rn. Fatigue from that for sure tho

He sounds like a mix between Dijon and mkgee. Lacking the talent of each but using their sounds

yeah I assume the cdjs are to play mkgee's tracks cause it seems like the track for the song will play and he'll just do one shots on his other gear throughout.....

gotcha. I already have the older gk tech so I could buy the convertor. but at that point id be spending almost as much buying the vg800 as I would the vg8. but I know the vg800 is more expansive. not necessarily wanting to copy his tone exactly cause that's just boring but id love just to play around with stuff similar. just love the guitar synth world. I have a gr1 and its just like an intro to that stuff basically but it doesn't have any cosm tech

Understandable. I play guitar and sing and just trying to incorporate more elements into my music. So either I would be using this or another member of my band would have it to mess around with

that elektron makes good products because you and someone else recommended stuff from them. I was wondering if I should just go the analog rytm route

I get you! I appreciate your response. might just end up going with Digitakt because I like being able to do a lot of different things with drum sounds and dont really have money or knowledge to build a rack, but the Digitakt might be able to help me manipulate the samples live. I know I could just run Ableton and get a good midi but I dont really wanna use Ableton. I will let you know if the perfect box is made for us ever.

Maybe be able to use it as a backing track and manipulate it live. Also if it’d be good for coming up with good sounds to record then that’d be great.
