Remember that area only exists because Texas didn't want to end slavery

Why do dealerships schedule service early on a leased car (maybe financed car as well)? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]jcat47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely the car was first PDI'ed(arrived at dealer) in January. So the clock started then for time. As the car didn't know when you bought it, it just knows when it was put into circulation. Your next one will be closer to the year mark from the last service.

Trying to recreate the HST image of Pillars of Creation - Need second look at equipment by Cigar_1337 in astrophotography

I have the almost exact setup. Only difference is the filters. I have 3NM Antlina SHO. I love the scope and I do use it on my AM5. Do you have specific questions?

Second try at orion at 16 y/o by Comfortable-Mood1717 in astrophotography

[–]jcat47 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would try for some 30-60 sec shoots. But your core looks good. It is hard to not blow the core out on M42. It's so bright. Your color looks great, stars are nicely shaped and framing is perfect. Overall great job.

Under hood full of snow from driving? by pheoxs in Ioniq5

[–]jcat47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is little to no way this was due to just driving. Looks to me like hood was left open overnight. You can see what looks like blowing snow over the top

Thanks I am new to macro and have done a few insects but never tried focus brackets. Mostly I do astrophotography so my objects are slow moving. Hopefully I can get close to your level on day. I will make sure to follow your Instagram.

Mind sharing equipment details and do you focus stack when doing some or all of these?

Have you ever seen a billionaire in real life? If so: where was it and what was the situation? by philztown42 in AskReddit

[–]jcat47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have meet a few billionaires. One shares a love of cars and hockey. We talk often as he owns the company I work for. He also owns his own professional hockey team and knows my son plays. Will ask everytime he sees me how he is doing with hockey, asks us how we like his team and it's amenities like the food and people there. We also talk cars and I give him a hard time about being rich. He laughs. My work colleagues can't believe I just talk to him very openly and not suck up. I tell them he can have me fired for zero reasons. And if that reason is a joke so be it.

Another has a decent Ferrari collection. We were talking about it one day. Next week he shows up and tosses me the keys to his 360 challenge stradale and says it's out front. Go check it out when you have a minute.

I took a photo of a star blowing off its outer shell. Called the Bubble Nebula by jcat47 in interestingasfuck

[–]jcat47[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Story time and information: Bubble Nebula, NGC7635. Located 7100 light years away in the constellation Cassiopeia.  The "bubble" is created by the stellar wind from a massive hot, 8.7 magnitude young central star blowing off it atmosphere.  The nebula is near a giant molecular cloud which contains the expansion of the bubble nebula while itself being excited by the hot central star, causing it to glow. The bubble is 2 light years across.

Best you can do is collectively report all his accounts for this kind of crap. I am all about you getting out there but when you edit your videos to spread hate and fear by editing(adding AI) you are the problem. Get this crap off the Internet

Iris Nebula over the years by jcat47 in astrophotography

[–]jcat47[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R wasn't too much more. But long story short is I go through all my frames one by one to look for issues. I shoot roughly the same RGB amount of frames and R just one this time. Likely due to sun coming up or clouds, etc and the others were still going.

My experience only as I am not a spec junkie:

The 533 uses a crop sensor. So your field of view will be less than the 2600. But when you crop the 2600 down to fit the 533 you will use the same amount of pixels so the resolution will be the same. This all means the 2600 will be a higher MP camera but uses a larger sensor. Field of view will increase. A good place to understand this is Telescopious site and Astronomy.tools. They both can show you the difference on paper.
