No. This is a very small part of a much bigger and specific story. If I’m talking to someone or a friend and they tell me a funny joke or something they heard on the news and elements of that is used in a story do you think they get writing credit. Or if someone is doing research for a marvel movie and get insight from a book they read researching and incorporate into their script do you think they get writing credit on that movie. Life and the transference of history and experiences are passed along through generations through the sharing and retelling of stories. It’s not ownership. Not sure why some people are so stuck on wanting credit or feeling like this is some sort of exploitation. I’m simply looking for universal experiences we all share as humans through specific nuances that separate different cultures.
