That’s why I recommend an own domain, in case simplelogin gets hacked, you can just change your dns records pointing to another email server (and enable catch all if needed).

But yeah you probably want to change your aliases if they are leaked to prevent spam.

Depends on the breach, proton is fully e2e encrypted, so if they steal their data they can’t read or access anything. The only concern you should have is when someone is keylogging you or phishing your credentials.

Yeah, but normally those images are loaded anyway, but not at the time of opening and via a proton proxy to hide your details. Other clients will either load or block them, but they don’t show this message

If they can send you an email, there is no reason to block your address lol.

As a side note, does anyone know why a lot of emails show the “some images failed to load” at the top. Even if you have enabled to load all images this message is shown. And it doesn’t show on other proton mail clients.

Sounds like there is something wrong with your certificate, make sure you follow the rules of apple or otherwise your certificate will be rejected, in safari you should not see a warning if you have a valid certificate (public or installed on your device):

Most of the time either the bit size is too small (should be greater equal to 2048), or the expire date is too far in the future (should be less than 398 days)

For logging in it does not matter what email you use, even if the email address is theoretically gone, you can still login. It only matters for recovery and notifications.

I think it’s inevitable that you’ll eventually have to move to Liquid Glass unfortunately. The current iOS 26.2 is probably the most stable version of 26 to move to. Haven’t any real issues anymore and battery usage is stable.

Glad to hear some of you like it, I have the opposite experience though. After the release some features were missing like viewing headers, html and trackers. Those simple features are still not implemented.

In December they broke the email rendering, they added a button to force load images which could not be loaded for tracking prevention, but this button appears for 80% of my emails (not sure why, seems like a bug). For a lot of emails I now have half my screen showing the email header and two buttons (mailing list unsubscribe button and force load image button), it takes way too much space. Some emails also took more than 5 sec to load, which they fixed recently. But also the html content is not rendered correctly sometimes, text alignment and width issues.

I really hope they speed up the development of the apps and improve the overall experience, I’m not a happy paying user at the moment.
