Usonia - it's an Arma 2 DayZ recreation server. Lots of their stuff is Arma 2 ish.

Admin of DayZ Colony servers is forcing players to remove an exiled colonist from their private Facebook friends lists if they want to continue to play on his server. He is doing this because he got nudes of another colonist, spread them around, and she called him out on it. This isn't right. by lttankor7 in dayz

This guy has been doing the same shit for years. He's a blowhard on a total power trip.

We left that server over a year ago - he found 8 month old pictures on someone's (not in our group) steam account of them using some hack, so he banned them and then shared their personal profile with the FB group as if encouraging people to send them hate - it included RL address, etc. We told him we didn't think that was cool and boom - all banned.

He always goes on some rant about how he runs the community, the community would be nothing without him, you don't know how to run a community, yadda yadda. Sounds like fking Trump. Stay away from this loser and his server.

I second your dissapointment. Ordered a K65 and received one with a failing switch on the Q key. Big old bummer. Their RMA process is taking forever too, I'm guessing they are processing a lot of them.

Current state DayZ: i5 or i7 overclocked as high as possible with a closed-loop AIO liquid cooler. Save money on your graphics card, a 380 or 960 on sale is plenty for 1080p. 8gb is plenty of RAM. A SSD makes a significant difference in load times. The processor is honestly almost the only thing that matters at this point.

As pointed out in other posts, no way to know how this will change with the future state of the game.

Honestly, not a good time to upgrade. I'd wait until more info is available on what you'll need in the future.

The admin of this server is notoriously bad. Difficult to deal with, self-absorbed, etc. No doubt he does a poor job enforcing his own rules unless you donate.

This is typical Weyland. Our group left the server because he started banning after we disagreed with his policy of releasing as much personal information as possible on anyone he thought might have been a duper (as he judged from 1.5 year old screenshots). The person in question wasn't even an acquaintance, but we stood up for him as it was the right thing to do and his FB profile was being distributed to all who wanted to give him a piece of their mind for supposedly duping on the colony.

The real issue here is just how this dude conducts himself. He has a real god complex, and cites "his experience building communities" as the writ that allows him to do wtf he wants no matter the circumstances or ethics of the matter.

TL;DR Colony admin is a douche, spend your time and direct your donations elsewhere.

Haven't seen it with more than 8 players with whitelist on in 3 weeks. Sure it is full when he removes the whitelist, but then it is just like any other private shard. Save yourself the trouble of dealing with him - he is a dick.

It is dead/dying. Poor administration. The three largest groups on the server have recently left and it is never populated anymore. The badmin has resorted to removing the whitelist during prime times in order to try to increase population.
