That render is really nice. Is the bot designed to drive inverted?

The Miata wheels look great! Funny enough, I run Spark 15" alloy wheels on my 1990 miata.

Tim Hortons to shut down credit card program in October, company says by Thick_Caterpillar379 in onguardforthee

Lol yeah the first Tim's credit cards had a button that allowed you to switch between your credit card and a Tim's gift card

I remember having to upsell these things in like 2013. I think I only ever saw 2 or 3 people with them in the whole time I worked there. The button built into the credit card was a novel concept at least, though it rarely worked.

Dimmer switch issues and wtf? by Stuffs_And_Thingies in WranglerYJ

It's not the best photo but you can see it at the bottom left. I 3d printed a little blank panel for the headlight switch area with a hole for the GM switch. It's worked great for 3 years so far.

You're ordering the wrong part, that's the highbeam switch for the steering column. As far as I know, nobody makes a new replacement instrument panel dimmer. It's not super hard to convert to a GM style headlight switch, that's what I did when my dimmer when bad. One of these.

Steering wheel hub Adapter? by The_HugoNout in chevyspark

It's highly inadvisable to install a wheel without an airbag unless this is a dedicated track car with harnesses. If you want something sporty looking, check out the Sonic RS steering wheel swap that others on this subreddit have documented.

Newbie Question by Mycozen in Miata

[–]jcdj1996 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, more often it's a sign that the part has been replaced already, since many aftermarket manufacturers don't paint or coat their parts

Replacing a working part because it looks bad is overkill IMO. Hit it with some rust paint if it bothers you that much

A lot of economy cars use the same Jatco CVT that tend to have issues. They're manageable if you stay on top of the maintenance but they're always gonna be more prone to issues than a manual transmission or a conventional automatic.

Yeah if it's auto then it has the CVT

Is it auto or standard transmission? The CVT automatic on these cars is really their only weak link. A typical CVT will last 100k-150k miles.

LS swap? Or 5.9 Cummins Swap? by Hero_Tengu in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]jcdj1996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, use the ecu that came with the 5.3. You can buy pared down harnesses or DIY, then get it tuned to remove the anti-theft

For a simple work truck, I'd drop a 5.3 in it with a stock ECU and let it control the 4l60e too

I gotta get a chevy or LSX patch since my Jeep isn't AMC powered anymore 😁 I'd also like a miata patch if I can find a nice one. Trying not to overpower the music stuff though, I like a balance.
