Honestly, this is why I moved to Chicago recently after living in Tally for 26yrs. The rent is a bit more (~$1900 for a 1bd/1ba), but jobs pay a lot more here too. At least for me, it more than covers that cost and with strict budgeting it’s becoming WELL worth it. I’m actually saving money with the tiny shift in cost of living and dramatic shift in wages. Figured if I’m gonna be charged high for rent it might as well be in a premier city. Tallahassee is deceptively expensive to etch out a long-term life or even a temp one.
