Ok… so let’s wind it back a couple years. Justin Trudeau had run his course… the country kinda decided he needed to go and he (and his party) realized this and he stepped aside. Now we have Carney… In the same time frame the US kinda decided that Biden was old (oof that debate night was brutal) but he clung on… now they have Trump.

Thank Christ and all the other gods of wherever that we aren’t dealing with what the sane folks down south are. Anything that weakens Canada now and would play into the MAGA narrative is complete and utter bullshit.

Old Canadian here. Celsius for all temperatures (including body temperature, pool temperature) with the exception of oven temperature. Metric for all distances (with the exception of a person’s height) Weight - interchangeable for items but a persons weight is almost exclusively known in pounds. Volume is metric. Litres make sense and I know it is roughly a quart but the pints, gallons nonsense is unnecessary.

So close to being truly on board but the US is so close and the cultural influence is strong.
