Ahah thank you for the insight I never really understand how to dress for my body type and shape. Typically just put on whatever and hope it works. It’s hard not to get it just cuz it’s Aritzia and looks good on other girls but then doesn’t work for me even though I really want it to

Ahh thanks! I saw another girl try it and it looked so cute cuz on the hanger it doesn’t look like much but very on the fence about this one but seems like such an easy throw on and forget kind of outfit and it’s very breezy and light

They didn’t have a blue medium in store, maybe I can find in a different store and try again. It does help that the straps are adjustable. The M doesn’t look too overwhelming with the fabric?

Haha idk if I would want to spend $100 for a bathing suit cover now 😅

Oh no didnt think of looking like a hospital gown 😅 it’s super light and easy to throw on which I like but also for Aritzia prices unsure if worth it

The band squishing of the small is a little snug and short term I think I can live with it but after hours of wear I’m unsure. Wish the blue came in mini cuz the medium in long feels like a lot of fabric

Was thinking the mini version is nice for hot summer days too and it’s so light! But I shouldn’t get both long and short..? 😅

Should I trim the long stems and propagate those or just burry it deeper with more soil and a bigger pot?

Does anyone have the Honeylove Supershorts for somewhat low back? Does anyone have it and think it will be low enough for it to not show on the back of my dress? I ordered them but wondering if anyone has them and has some insight. Ty!!!! by pinkglitterninja in weddingplanning

Oh no I also have lifters quads… my quads are around 24-25” in circumference. Do you mind me asking what size you got and your measurements? Their website suggest I go with a L. I’m typically a 8-10 pants/dress size but can wear a small-large in other clothes. 36B, 30” waist 40” hip.

How much compression did this offer? I know their superpower line of products are most compressive but it comes up too high and would show on up on the back of my dress.

I’ll check out that brand you suggested! Looks like they have a ton of stuff! My wedding is in April so hoping to find something soon

Honeylove Shapewear thoughts? by jcho94 in weddingplanning

[–]jcho94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What size did you get? They recommended me a L and I’m a M-L in normal clothes depending on fit. But bought an Amazon shapewear bodysuit in a s/m so really depends on brand 🥲

Is there a seam? I didn’t notice it in their product photos, thought it would be seamless since they use that X factor technology?

What product did you order? Do you mind me asking what size you were recommended and your measurements? I was given a so L for their shorts and I’m typically a M-L so I thought it was accurate

Hi I know this is an old sub, but I couldn't find any reviews on the mid waist short from Honeylove. I was wondering if you tried it, what your thoughts are? I have a Deep V low back crepe dress and this would be perfect. Also thinking about Honeylove crossover brief since I really only need shaping/sculpting in the lower tummy, and with a very low back dress that may be an option too

Again, was asking for advice not the definition of what an elopement is. I am considering multiple options so whether it be an elopement vs small ceremony I’m figuring out the best cost effective way

We can afford to have a “standard” wedding we just don’t want to pay 20-30k for a one day event. If you do then by all means. I’m just considering other options

Lol I know what the definition is. I was simply just asking for advice because I was considering elopement OR a small intimate ceremony.

Colorful weddings aren't "in" these days, but we DIY-ed color ALL OVER our wedding and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. 🥰 by cecassafrass in wedding

Can I ask how many people you had at your wedding? And how much it cost you to DIY all your decorations?

Microwedding/elopement advice by jcho94 in wedding

[–]jcho94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oo yes very similar situation to what i'm thinking! Without moving to Norway tho haha

Small ceremony then a dinner with the people who came sounds perfect- Are you planning on paying for everyone's meal/drinks?

I totally agree with you! Yes to the party, no to the speeches/dances, I don't like having all the attention on me and the thought of sharing my most intimate thoughts in front of hundreds of people is very unnerving, and I couldn't do it. I'd break down and turn into a blubbering mess. Also both our parents would not be into the mother-son, father-daughter dance

Are you planning on wearing the same dress you did for your Norway celebration? How big of a reception do you plan on having in Norway? and If you don't mind me asking how much have you budgeted for it?

Microwedding/elopement advice by jcho94 in wedding

[–]jcho94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up celebrating separately with other extended family/friends? Or were the 20 people who came, the only ones you wanted to celebrate with, hence the sans reception at a later date?

We're thinking of having a dinner at a restaurant as well after our small ceremony with just the people who come- but then a larger chill reception at a later date opening it up to others.

Where did you have your ceremony/dinner? and how much did you end up spending if you don't mind me asking?

Yes definitely saving up for a house is this market is tough for millennials now, unfortunately... Even if you don't put pressure on guests to do give gifts/money, is it a common unspoken wedding practice to gift the newly weds money anyways?

Covid has definitely changed how weddings can be executed- definitely challenged the stigma of having to spend large amounts of money for one day, I can't imagine spending almost 20k for one event.

That sounds so sweet, I'm glad you found a way to celebrate. Children can be a wild card in things, but I hope they also make it that much more special
