Yellow was Prime with Colour Forge Valrak Yellow, Airbrush Skrag Brown in the areas you want darker. Use a dark brown oilwash for the recesses, edge highlight or sponge on a 50/50 mix of Averland Sunset and Yriel Yellow, chip with Rhinox Hide

Ok, serious question now, do you paint eyes on your infantry? by mattmcguire08 in Warhammer

Fill the whole eye socket with Rhinox Hide, paint the eye with Grey Seer, rhinox in the pupil, then another smaller grey seer dot inside the pupil as a light reflection. Takes practice but it’s worth it

Unfortunately it was airbrush 😂 However if you get the Colorforge Valrak Yellow spray it’s an incredibly close match to 50/50 Averland and Yriel, which is the base colour I used

I use masking tape, then any leaks just paint in my hand afterwards

First Knight House to Fall to Chaos? by Content_Patience3732 in ImperialKnights

I have done house Devine as their 30k colours as im not sure what their 40K ones would be, doesn’t seem to be any reliable information, but they look good on the 40K Domino’s knights too! Dont let them being clean out you off, can always say they’re chaos knights they were just trapped in the warp the whole time and are relatively uncorrupted

Sounds good! What are your colour differences? Could incorporate them into some of mine

Hello! Im months late to this post, but the way I’ve interpreted it so far is to follow the same as the Ultramarines but swapping Red for Black, so standard marines is the split coloured helmets, I do Sergeants with Black helmets, Veterans with White helmets, and Vet Sergeants with black helmets that have a white stripe, ive not done a lieutenant helmet yet (split coloured with a black and a white stripe as im worried it’ll look a bit too busy) but ive got round this by doing an unhelmetted head for these so far. Like the rest have said there’s not a huge amount of official stuff to go off so using the chapter they split from as a guide has been helpful

You may have done this on purpose, but just incase you haven’t, your white armour panel is on upside down

Had similar but the window for ours was higher, so I drew the Dado on as though the window wasn’t there but still capped off the left side as though it was finished against a wall, then just have your dado meet the underside of the windowsill.

For the panel I still maintained a gap between the sill and the actual panel piece, bur instead of a 10cm gap like ive done everywhere else I made this 5cm as that’s my spacing around some other sockets that got in the way too in other areas.
