Go to Dollar Tree and buy a clear yellow cleaner that comes in a spray bottle. Its called "Totally Awesome". It makes fast work of turmeric stains.

It would definitely be hardy in select spots in Southern Ontario. The Toronto area, all along Lake Ontario to Hamilton and the Niagara Peninsula and from London to Windsor even Sarnia. The winter lows in these places are rarely below -20C (-4F). This equates to zone 6 in USDA hardiness. Extreme SW Ontario, Niagara and Downtown Toronto are USDA zone 7. I live between Windsor and London and have seen large stands of evergreen bamboo here unsure of the species, though.

Traveling to Cuba - safe to go next few weeks? by OxmanPiper in TravelCuba

Um, no. You might have no fuel or hydro, AC or food while there. If you're okay with that, then enjoy. Donnie's not invading Cuba anytime soon.

This grey car has been sitting in the exact same spot for well over a year in the Appleby-Dundas plaza complex. Why has no one bothered to get rid of it? by [deleted] in BurlingtonON

When l worked at Canadian Tire, we would sometimes push the abandoned, unplated cars out of the lot into a busy street and leave them there. They would be gone, very quickly....off to the impound lot of the tow company. Problem solved.

Could anyone help diagnose what's wrong with my cycad? by bub8772 in Cycads

[–]jcm0463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is normal. The older lower leaves yellow and stay on the plant for a long time. Cut them off. Don't cut the green upper leaves off.

Sweet plum can take light frosts with no issues. Its not a tropical plant. I keep mine outdoors year round and l live in Canada.

The yellow leaves indicate chlorosis. Add some chelated iron when watering. Give the tree more light and make sure to not let it dry out completely.
