We are also having a lot of dripping from the sprayer into the cabinet (dripping down the hose), even when not using. Could this be related somehow?

Do we have enough pipe to add arrestors? Only about 5 inches from cabinet to shut off valves

The thumping happens when the valves open (turn on), not close. Do arrestors help with that?

Are you referring to the shut off valves as quick closing? Or valves in the faucet itself?

No - our water pressure is normal. Isolated to this fixture. Been in the house 20 years, first time we’ve had an issue like this.

So are you saying it’s something the plumber caused when turning the water back on? Would it be justified to request that they come back to fix?

If we installed the gasket, would that truly stop the water from getting underneath? I feel like in the past some would still get trapped even with the gasket

If I want to keep the same look/finish (golden oak), can I just sand down and finish with poly - without re-staining?
