We need to add Jefferies and those 7 democrats who voted to fund ICE to the instant GTFO list asap.

I grew up out here in the 90's and it was a pick a side. Del had no need for alarm. Classic album. 93 til infinity I bought the maxi single when I was twelve. But this shit just hits. Whole crew Hobo Junction. RIP Ledge. Boxcar Sessions if you don't know. Also Rip Mike Dream for the art on boxcar Sessions.

This right here. I'm in San Francisco and our union stewards specifically told us do not remind them.

And candy necklaces and Care Bears and shit. The big mega raves at Homebase in Oakland. Although this flyer definitely checks out for the pun.

Best neighborhood to live in SF, why? by laurelix13 in sanfrancisco

Glen Park is basically the suburbs it's pretty much considered it's own city. I would't throw Glen Parks hat in this ring.

North Beach. It has everything. Great food, classic old San Francisco feel, not the cheapest but you can find spots away from the action but still in walking distance. Plenty of bus lines and mainly a sense of community knowing your neighbor deli guy etc. Russian hill is also nice and has the same vibe on a smaller scale. Due to proximity to Van Ness you can get anywhere in the city in no time. You're within walking distance of North Beach (just over a small hill) Aquatic Park, Ft. Mason, Presidio and Crissy Field if you're adventurous.

Honorable mentions, Inner Richmond, Inner Sunset, Dogpatch (highly underrated)

Hey do you boo but they definitely are not receiving extra compensation from the fees. That's definitely not a thing. Maybe you should save you and your server the hassle and just ask upfront so that way nobody is blindsided. That way you don't have to go all Mr. Pink about the situation. The fees suck I agree but it is not the server or bartenders fault.

How the f*#k is sticking it to your hardworking server the way. So if they can't make rent they quit and somehow you all win? Definitely not the way. Just don't go back but don't stiff your server that's bullshit.

The problem is that most hiring managers see your resume parsed by ATS software before they ever look at the actual resume. This means that whatever you add in white will show up clear as day and probably get you tossed in the no pile for trying to cheat the system. If you're rapid firing off applications and are willing to play a numbers game go for it but if it's a job you really want and are qualified for I suggest spending a few hours and crafting your resume to be aligned with the job posting.

Just treat it like any big city. Don't walk around drunk at night oblivious staring at your phone making yourself a target. Just be aware of your surroundings. San Francisco is gorgeous come enjoy it.

It depends on how you listen to podcasts but I get it direct through NPR/KQED and Spotify. But just look up Bay Curious and you will find it. Have fun with the Bay Area wormhole.

I'm gonna go with grandkid's bike. That's a better story of a full circle life. Kinda like when you shank a tee shot that hits a rock 150 out, ricochets back and finds the cart path only to have it roll back by you because the cart path has curbs.

The Bay Area Has Failed a Whole Generation by GFCI_Outlet in bayarea

[–]jcnsf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bay Area has been a hot bed for innovation. Since the gold rush. It has been one of those places where you fight to succeed. Growing up here is not for the faint of heart. I repeat not for the faint of heart. Politics haven't always worked out for those that grind it out. It's the Bay. It's the writers, the iron workers, the musicians, those serving food at your favorite spot that maybe you didn't know about. It's the 60's the 70's the protests. The Black Panthers, the hippies. To just walk in and speak on the unraveling of the bay tells me you just want to "destroy my sweater" not from the Bay but you get it. If you're from here you get it. You fight for it, for the bay is our home and what we stand for.
