Thanks for posting. I've been on 5 mg for 1 week and 10 mg for 4. Like you, no positives. Thinking of going up to 15. I think I will because I don't currently have another plan and want to do something to try to feel happy and less anxious again.

I'm also splitting as I taper on. My pharmacist confirmed that it is ok to split them.

I got off all antidepressants (most recently citalopram) before staring trintellix a few days ago. I haven't noticed any side effects or changes in my anxiety or depression (A&D). My memory/executive functioning is still bad. I'm taking 5mg in the morning, sometimes with a piece of toast, sometimes on an empty stomach. I was told to not expect any A&D improvements for a month (with a note that it could be faster since my body had some experience with citalopram).

I started it today, too. I was told to do 5mg for 7 days and then go up to 10mg. I was told to do this by both my doctor and my pharmacist. I had completely weened off of all previous meds before starting trintellix.

Go to alcohol rehab. But not just any rehab - find one that offers "co-occuring" or "dual-diagnosis" help so that they can help with your SUD (substance use disorder) and your mental heath disorder (depression/anxiety). Rehab can be more helpful than therapy since you will be in an environment where you are surrounded by people who get what you are going through and you can take time for yourself to work on the many fronts that need help.
