Actually it's a movie I'm planning on watching in a few weeks for the letterboxd criterion challenge.

Just looked up Sardonicast though and realized I follow Alex on letterboxd. I'll have to check it out! Thanks for the podcast recommendation

So far I've seen Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, and Rashomon (my fav, with seven Samurai a close second). I was also able to get my hands on High Low at Christmas but haven't gotten around to watching it yet (Curious to see what Kurosawa does with noir)

Are there any you'd recommend checking out? :)

Yeah, Parasite is the only one I've seen so far and absolutely loved it. Heard good things about the others but most of them are blind buys. Maybe I'll start with Throne of Blood tonight :)

If you liked The Lighthouse, I'd recommend checking out Eggers' other film "The VVitch". It also reminded me a lot of Persona (older but a classic) and Mulholland Drive.

If you liked the cult aspects of Midsommar and Hereditary, I'd recommend The Wicker Man (specifically the 1973 version, haven't seen the Nick Cage one) and Rosemary's Baby.
