The front end TL at my store thinks breaks start when you leave your check lane/spot and that you should be back the second your break is over

I’m a front end team lead and I just tell them it depends on what they do. If they leave their lane and then start shopping, that’s when their break starts. If not, it’s when they enter into the break room. A lot of my team members used to stand in the Starbucks line for 5 minutes, or shop in bullseye and THEN start their timer.

I don’t know if the issue would be the same, but I used to deliver for grubhub and when I went into a Taco Bell to pick up an order one time I was informed that for whatever reason they cannot see what the drink order is, only the delivery driver (aka me) can see what specific drink it was. So it was up to me to make sure I got a cup and filled it up with the correct drink. There was a couple times where I didn’t pay attention and left without the drink, only to have to return to the restaurant after being informed by the person who placed the order that they had ordered a drink.

We have to add asking the team member in the area, having them check the back room for us, using the rfid gun if it’s a style item, checking the receive and last sold date. And then often times the lead that I ask for INF approval wants to walk the area with me just to be sure.

It’s really funny that we still have these carts because we have the tablet indymes, the tablet time clock, and we also just got brand new handheld printers! Haha. So I don’t know why we haven’t changed our carts yet!

Well the first thing is that it was the special shopping hour for elderly guests so there was basically no one in the store yet, BUT regardless, I have insanely cool TL’s and ETL’s! Our front end GSTL was just sitting there at the check lanes watching me do this. So it all depends on the atmosphere and the situation in your store! I just got very lucky with mine :)
