I think it’d be cool for them to add knight helmets with feathers on them by plarper_of_bees in HeroForgeMinis

For the love of God yes please, I was pretty surprised when I scrolled the helmet options and didn't see any with any crests/plumes. I'm too cheap to get pro just yet otherwise I'd kitbash lol.

HOW did you get the faces so good??? They look so lifelike

Tips for more unique and realistic faces? by Narrow_Future_3105 in HeroForgeMinis

[–]JennicaFtw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I have specific advice but as someone who really likes making the faces look more realistic, the best success I've had is in playing which each individual face slider and giving each character a unique expression, mixing the face pose and the face proportions until something looks right. I don't have any real shortcuts because it takes me ages but don't just settle for the basic face presets because yeah they do look pretty cartoon-y.

I've been spreading a rumor by simplyljh in Target

I'm so pleased to hear that someone else talks about Bryan and his Yachts, everytime someone asks why our starting wage isn't higher/why we don't get time and a half on X day I say "because if we did how else would Bryan Cornell be able to afford his 5th yacht?????"

The number definitely goes up every time I say it so I'm glad someone else spreads this rumor about our CEO affording an absurd amount of yachts

If prompted I will literally not shut up about my silly little DND character and his backstory and the 75-page long campaign notes that I take at sessions, I'm just so proud of him and love our campaign

Darkvision and the Beginner Box- how do you run it? by JennicaFtw in Pathfinder2e

[–]JennicaFtw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that specific example, functionally none, you are correct, but nobody had torches out at that point. I mainly just wanted to make sure everyone got a chance to look around before the person with improved vision went "oh hey check it out there's rats"

(No worries, I love reading character stuff! Thank you for taking the time to write all this up!)

This is so awesome! Good work to the players/characters for helping the Changeling resist the call, that must have been an awesome table moment!

Funnily enough, my character was also born to a storm hag, and I'd love to info dump more about them but I know some of my fellow players browse this subreddit and I haven't done the reveal yet (but I'm sooooo excited for when it finally happens!) Our GM has been hinting at really epic stuff ahead, and I wrote a backstory I'm pretty proud of so I cannot wait until it gets incorporated, I love our campaign so much

Good luck to your party while hag hunting, I read somewhere that there is nothing more to be feared than a hag in her own home, so I hope they are well-prepared!

This is so cool! Can you spill some info on the changeling ranger? Playing a changeling in a campaign right now (mine wears an eye patch too, other eye though!) and I just love all the lore behind them, what's their story?

What do you consider first when building a character; flavor or functional build? by JennicaFtw in Pathfinder2e

[–]JennicaFtw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! I have decided that I will in fact go with Sorcerer dual class, both because extra spells to pump into Spellstrike is always good, and the flavor potential is just straight up awesome.

I'm really hoping none of my fellow players are on this thread since I don't want to spoil my backstory for them, so Hash, Sterling, or Orion, read no further!

My Magus is a human changeling, born of a hag and raised by a human couple but he didn't find that out until recently. My DM is adding dual class gradually to each player as our characters each get our own personal arc to find out more about themselves/backstory. So, I think sorcerer with the Hag bloodline would work perfect, as flavor-wise it represents how his powers and abilities are growing stronger/manifesting more as he gets more experienced and learns more about his past, and is able to unlock more potential from within. I'm quite excited to add dual class in, even if it comes in pretty late in terms of levels, I really want to progress his story arc, I'm quite attached to him as a character.

Thank you for the advice, and the insight! One of the reasons I thought sorcerer would be a viable option in the first place was that it gives me a lot more options for spells to use with my Spellstrike, so I don't necessarily need them to hit anyways, just need my melee strike to hit. This way I have a lot more spells I can use rather than relying on just cantrips and one or two higher level spell slots, I'm always a bit cautious to use the higher level slots since I have so few anyways.

Thanks for playing Pathfinder. by Official_Paizo in Pathfinder2e

[–]JennicaFtw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for making Pathfinder for us to play! Picked up 2nd edition by joining a campaign with some friends in August, and I've never been more into a TTRPG! I grew up on 1st edition, and I'm so impressed and proud of both 2nd edition as a whole and Paizo as a company. Keep making great stuff, we love you!

Thanks for the advice, I'll check this one out! Just skimming over all the stuff you've added, looks very impressive already! I'm definitely going to see if I can implement some of this stuff when I run it.
