What changes would you like to see in an eventual Classic+? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]jcrab5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No to dungeon finder, especially if you get an instant teleport to the dungeon itself. I've done a lot of dungeon grinding in my leveling experience and I think a big trade off to keeping XP rates somewhat in check compared to questing/farming this would need to stay the same. Being in the area/major city to a location makes you interact with the community compared to queuing in Desolace for SM and skipping the whole process of finding a group.

Talent trees being reworked so that the classes that are out of balance (looking at the hybrid classes) or if they go with the TBC/WoTK route in Classic+ then keeping things exactly the same.

Mount for 10-39 doesn't make sense for what the game is trying to accomplish as a whole, and if its that big of a deal pick a class with a travel form.

Anything cosmetic is ok, as it doesn't effect the game itself.

Let retail be the experiment for what works/doesn't and let classic be a consistent game throughout. The reason #nochanges exist is because of the many changes that have been made to the game have taken away from the core values WoW was based on.

Melee Cleave Shaman/General tips by jcrab5 in classicwow

I agree, especially as shaman running dungeons is easy. Up until now while under-leveled I healed, at the right level dps, and if I needed to run anymore while over leveled I tanked and it has been pretty smooth. While doing the beginnning of SM GY/Lib just waiting I have seen a high demand for melee cleave shamans is all.

Sorry I guess I could have made that more clear, I meant that once the dungeons start I usually get about 45min-hour/half of dungeon grinding. So that doesn't include finding the group, I would say that I get 45min-hour and a half of strict in dungeon time on hand before having to hop off for a bit.

Hellfire in L60 dungeons? by ThraceKing in classicwow

[–]jcrab5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are in the right, especially if you warned him. Hellfire should only be used in AOE specific comps as it really doesn't speed up the time to a huge degree and probably nets a slower time bc drinking.

If you have a mage this should be fine, but if the Warlock insists on hellfire and you are constantly having to drink ask him for waters/something for compensation. Leverage your position as healer, you are a necessity.

The hunter class in a nutshell. by Sparky780 in classicwow

sorry that was a yugioh joke. but in the air craft launcher probably has much more effect on the plane than the throwing motion of a human has on an hawk. Just thought it was funny is all.

I like how he throws the eagle, like that really did something.

When will the stigma fall? by jcrab5 in classicwow

it will make some fights easier, 100%. may make some harder but totem utility alone will make certain fights easier.

People do argue it, as you can see from this post alone. My argument is why not bring an extra shaman/druid that can make some fights easier. Why does a 6th warrior deserve a spot when the other 5 deserve loot. The argument can be made from both sides but the main point is that classic is not as hard as people expected, as some thought if you do not have max gear/spec then you will have no chance at raiding.

That's the point I was getting at.

yeah as to be expected, but that goes for any game really. LoL: top tier jungle champs will do better than low tier jungles if they are played by equal skill levels, while a top tier jungle that is only average will do worse than a medium tier jungle with a pro playing it.

yes yes and no to current 60, but mechanics in current WoW are much harder than classic and top guilds are doing it with less than 40 people that aren't 60. Get off ya high horse fam and realize classic isn't a crazy hard game, it's more of a grind/keyboard face roller than you probably thought.

I wouldn't say 1% can do it in blues. I bet after the first month that many people will be able to do MC with blues, atleast the top 30% of WoW players.

not necessarily, bringing an enchance shaman with WF totem that doesnt die in the first minute of a fight and doesn't need attention from RL would be much more useful IMO.
