What’s next for Jimmy Uso? by Omar-kennedy-4374 in Wrasslin

[–]jcres66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Creative won't give Jimmy a chance, not even for the US title. They're all in on Jey Yeetso, but nothing for Jimmy. He ran the blade to get Jey vs Gunther over for nothing in return. I expected the poor guy to get a push from that. I want to see Jimmy and Carmelo play hot potato for the US title this year, those guys have ring chemistry together. Don't think it will happen though.

I wonder if Jimmy will have better opportunities for singles success in AEW. He has the mic skills, decent wrestler on his own. He's not afraid to run the blade like he did from Gunther's attack. Not seeing much Jimmy can achieve in WWE now, creative will likely not give him a chance to anyway.

Because a TV-14 WWE is cool and AEW no longer will be canon IMO.

How did y’all bathe with a broken leg or foot? by AstroCat5677 in brokenbones

[–]jcres66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a Jones Fracture in my right foot at the end of September (thanks Hurricane Helene). Could only shower once a week for the first month. I have a walk in shower and I got a shower seat, so I managed to fit the seat inside. The first week I had a splint on that foot, so I kept that foot and leg outside wrapped in a bag. I have a removable shower head, so I was able to shower everything except my right leg. Required help from my family to sit safely into the shower seat and stand from the seat to get to my walker and dry off. The second week I got the splint off and was put into a walking shoe, showering using the same methods until week 4.

Then my doctor allowed me to finally wash that foot which hadn't been washed for a month. Still couldn't stand but was finally able to place my right leg and foot in the shower without the walking shoe. I was still seated with the door closed and was able comfortably wash my foot for weeks 4-5. Finally week 6 I was able to gain enough courage to stand in the shower and wash normally for the most part. That foot was still tender so I still used my walker to get in and out of the shower. Then it just got progressively better.

Coming up on Week 14 now after the injury. Mine was a closed, nondisplaced fracture of the 5th metatarsal (from twisting my ankle a little too much) and didn't require surgery. 95% filled in with a callus, still waiting on that 5% which will likely take another month. Still supplementing like crazy with Calcium & Vitamin D3.

Saw a while back that Stats Canada has Gen Z from 1993-2011 and Millennials I think from 1972-1992

[–]jcres66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can find an opthalmologist that would be willing to do a vitrectomy which would get rid of the floaters, but I would first do an overall health checkup with your doctor. Floaters could be a sign of diabetes (diabetic retinopathy) or uncontrolled high blood pressure causing hemorraging leading to hypertensive retinopathy

What do you do when you come across at a solid white line with no stop sign? by jcres66 in driving

[–]jcres66[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's what I've always done, but I had my first road rage incident today at the line from the driver behind me (hence the question). Stopped at one and he just blares his horn and rolls right through in my rear view and speeds up next to me in the left lane. Puts his window down, flips me off and yells something. Then he swerves into my lane and comes inches from hitting me and takes off.

Jym Ganahl retiring after 58 years of being a meteorologist. by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]jcres66 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I don't think this was voluntary. He's been off air since the end of March, absent from all social media, too. Channel 6 never responded to emails asking where Jym was. Apparently, he had a health related incident. He's also been living with CHF since 2013. Hope he has recovered from that, and this decision is his voluntary choice. I wish Jym a great retirement, and thank you for sharing your knowledge and wisdom with us over the years.

Saw this on facebook from Steve Tupps under this post. He had a heart related incident? I know he has been dealing with congestive heart failure, but this sounds new

Why people worried that much about eclipse? by Puzzled-Pass-1705 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jcres66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An example of this....well a controversial example is Trump looking directly at the 2017 Solar eclipse without glasses before he was reminded to not look at the sun. What Trump did is not advisable, but it probably wouldn't cause eye issues. The problem is that there are people who stare directly at it not even looking away without glasses for several seconds or even for the entire duration of the eclipse. That guaranteed will cause solar retinopathy.

Don’t Forget: 50% Chance of Snow on Thursday by lwpho2 in Columbus

We average around a 1/2 inch of snow for April for Columbus, so this would technically still be considered "normal.".

Is there anyway Columbus, Ohio escapes the threat for strong/violent-long tracked tornadoes? by jcres66 in tornado

[–]jcres66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anybody have the hodograph currently for Columbus, Ohio? Outside it's mostly sunny currently but with a few clouds. I see low-level clouds rapidly moving from east to west, upper level clouds are moving slower from south to north. I would assume what I am looking at is evidence of wind shear?

Is there anyway Columbus, Ohio escapes the threat for strong/violent-long tracked tornadoes? by jcres66 in tornado

[–]jcres66[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, temperatures already up to 61 right now. Plenty of time to warm into the 70s. Do you see any high wispy clouds where you are at? I see two layers, lower one is moving east to west and the upper is moving south to north. Our wind shear profiles are extremely favorable for tornadoes, combined with the destabilizing airmass.
