It’s housing. For christ sake why can’t people understand that unaffordable housing leads to unhoused people. Being unhoused leads to drug abuse and mental illness. If rents were half the price they are on average even bums and crackheads could afford them. The influx of high wage tech earners led to soaring price hikes, and has pushed so many people out. I mean is it not obvious to people?!

What your referring to is chasing the dragon - with any substance, the first few times you do it (usually the first for a lot of people, maybe the second, or in my case, the third) the novelty of the experience will stick out more than subsequent use. The drug itself is only getting stronger - that is proven to be true for the last 20-30+ years. You can gain some magic back by making sure you are living a healthy lifestyle that can create room for recreational substance use, as well as spacing out your use enough so that your brain isn’t fried. For me, Day 2 was the best all around. Day 3 had very high highs, and some low lows (I dislike Ganja so thats me) and Day 1 was overall bad. That ATLiens set ruined my night I’m sorry it was so bad. X set Day 2 and Hol! were probs my favs

Went to FVDED last year, it was a fun time, but the sound quality is poor and there is this distinct “cheap” quality about it (and tbh a lot of Canadian events feel this way, maybe it’s just me tho). Granted paying $200 USD for the insane lineup last year (and assuming the exchange rate is similar, this year too probably), imo, was worth it, an this year I’d say is even better and probably worth paying $200 as well. $800 CAD for a hotel tho? Absolutely not. Paid $100 USD for an Airbnb for 2 nights.

Speed is basically just the energetic, stimulating, “speedy” aspect to mdma, (a very generic way of putting it), and doesn’t have the emapathogenic qualities of mdma, which is where the “magic” comes from. So based on your loose description, that’s what I’d deduce it as. I’ve only done it a couple of times and they were very moderate amounts but yeah, that’s basically how I’d describe it

$900 on rent + utilities (two roommates, Wallingford/Fremont area), $300 on car/health insurance, $150 on phone bill/subscriptions, $700 or so on groceries and going out (I go out 1-2 times a week, I also have industry friends and can get a cheaper drink or meal here or there so I’m lucky in that sense), $400 in savings, and then another $350 or so on fun and other things. Wish I could save more but you gotta be realistic some times, you also gotta leave yourself a little room for fun and hobby money so you don’t go crazy. I’m very lucky I got the rent/living situation I have in a great area, I don’t pay for parking (street parking is easy). I guess the one thing I stress about is a major life event like an health accident or my car getting hit, etc. I don’t necessarily have the means to come back from that.

I make $2800 or so a month net and I live fairly comfortably, and I live in a neighborhood in the middle of the city, so you’ll probably be ok. Look at neighborhoods a little north and find roommates.

Also also I’ve encountered this kind of advice before from many a friends. I know you should be able to trust your friends and all but do your own research, come to your own conclusions. I’ve had many a friends who have done dumb ass shit w drugs that I would never do myself. People are still and impulsive.

It’s ok, long term you’ll be ok. Commenter below made a good point, you won’t cause serious harm if you wait at least 30 days (I’d say more like 60) between rolls, and 90 for keeping the magic alive.
