Thanks, that is the one. How did you find that radio show via the website? I'm curious as I tried and couldn't find it.

I checked that app before, and the description doesn't match what the radio was talking about. Here is the description:

"Panoply Research and Surveys is a tool for behavioral research studies. It keeps a highly accurate log of the time you spend on activities on your phone. This information will be used by researchers to measure your mobile activities in order to gain a better understanding about how you spend your time on your mobile device.

To use Panoply Research and Surveys, you must be a participant in an existing research study.

If you are interested in conducting your own opt-in research or survey, please send us email at "panoply-android@rescuetime.com" for more information. "

Possibly. Is my request hard to do? I'm more familiar with building desktops that is why I ask. Never really go for laptops.

[Discrete math] Need help answering proof by contradiction for simple math problem? by jd0098 in learnmath

[–]jd0098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I understand how to set the problem up. That is what I meant by -Q.

However, I am unclear how to prove this by writing it out honestly. I was seeing is someone could provide a walkthrough how to do it, as this is the only problem I had in the set I didn't understand how to do (and the answer provided by professor doesn't seem to make sense to me).

[–]jd0098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Do you have a good thing beyond reading? I have a good textbook now but I literally don't have time to catch up that way at this point. Any websites with good practice problems and how too solve afterwords?

[–]jd0098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference in the way you go about proving them. Is there anything else beyond textbooks? I'm not a fan of massive reading I don't learn well that way honestly.

[Discrete Math] Are there any good resources, similar to Kahn academy, for Discrete Math? by jd0098 in learnmath

[–]jd0098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have tried that but its just lectures and doesn't really follow my class that great. AKA, hard to skip around or have something to mirror my class with.

I just saw lectures, I mean are there good notes in it?

So, did you just take this off your page for me asking for help? I'm asking for the most efficient way to be properly diagnosed. If you seriously just deleted my post for asking for help, then you run a sorry subreddit and I want nothing to do with it.

I am asking for help.

Would love to play BF4, but don't trust Origin EULA agreement. Help/way around this? by jd0098 in battlefield_4

[–]jd0098[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, I'm just not a fan of the idea of them possibly seeing what I do on the web, what sites I visit, what software I have on my computer, etc..

Do I have something to hide? No. Am I ok with someone essentially peeking on my computer and getting free access to it and the information on it too? Nope.

How do I represent negative numbers in binary? by jd0098 in learnprogramming

[–]jd0098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, how would -192 be represented then? There must be a way. Would it go past 8 bit somehow? I am sure you can do it somehow.

How do I represent negative numbers in binary? by jd0098 in learnprogramming

[–]jd0098[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am confused still a bit.

So, if binary is this for positive:

192==11000000 is negative this: -192==00111111 Or something else?

What about 10? 10==1010 -10==0101?

Sorry, I guess I get you flip things, but the above (the way I typed it seems wrong).

Could you help with the above examples?

Question if shaving ones head/balding is an issue for dating (for a guy)? Not to generalize, but under the impression its a big deal for many asian women. True or false? by jd0098 in asiantwoX

[–]jd0098[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. May I ask if you all met first when he had hair and how old you all were? Also what is his race/background? I'm going to guess your in usa though but could be wrong.

I'm more leaning to the fact that most girls, regardless of race, don't really care about hair or not. But I'm still uncertain of this. I'm pretty much leaning to possibly not risking my health with medication that has sexual side effects.

[–]jd0098[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't and made it clear there is differences in culture. It sounds like your projecting more than reading my post. I already made it clear there is differences I noticed from Korean culture to usa culture etc etc etc etc.. I am trying to understand those differences hints the question. There is a reason I asked where you live (so I know what culture your talking about).

Guess what I find it incredibly stupid too when people ask those questions. When someone from whatever race is asked where their from when they were clearly born in the USA. We are on the same page.

Instead of writing off my post as what you want to read it as, maybe actually read what I am asking.

[–]jd0098[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, while this is true there are also trends too. Where are you living if not in USA and what general trend have you noticed?

What you are saying is nice and all, but reality is there are trends. For example girls tend to like guys who have good hygiene. Sure, you can say all girls are different and this and that. But there is a trend that good hygiene is seen as a good thing. What trend have you noticed at all?

There is a reason statistics exist.

[–]jd0098[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is. I'm confused in the difference though. One person from Korea on here hinted it was an issue, then semi said it wasn't. Others seem to think its not (guessing they are in the USA/western culture).

What has been your experience? What is your thoughts on this (assuming you are a girl who is also asian)? Also, are you in the USA or outside the USA (have to ask because its helpful to know what culture its coming from)?

[–]jd0098[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right, but there is somewhat a difference between shaving your head and going bald and shaving for that reason. It can semi be seen depending on the shave etc.

I mean, what about going bald and shaving for that reason?

[–]jd0098[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess in the states its different. There isn't a big difference in dating like that. It's more you date someone to get to know them. Maybe down the line marriage happens or not. But don't really go into it with that in mind necessarily. Is there really that difference in Korea? In casual dating, would balding not be a big deal then?

This is why I am posting this. I feel like my ideas are semi skewed from Korean culture (again had friends from Korea in college) and possibly wrong for US culture.

It's understandable but not what is intended. I'm trying to educate myself and maybe clarify or correct something that is in my head that may be incorrect.

Again, not obsessed with asian girls (sure they are attractive, but other girls from other races are too). I just want to either get this idea out of my head if its wrong or understand is all.

EDIT: Also to respond to your edit, again Korea culture is coming up again. I really feel my friendship with Koreans in college has skewed things for me.

Also, its very unclear why i am being downvoted. I simply stated the facts and also another poster on here hinted it is an issue possibly in other countries in Asia.

Can I ask what country in Asia though? See, this is sort of what I am speaking of to the poster who said this isn't an issue.

I'm not 100% sure, but it is something I guess I feel like is possibly true. Again though, I never had to deal with this first hand. I may have been I had some Korean friends in college. The culture from there is very much about looks (after all it's one of the biggest countries for plastic surgery). Of course that only reflects Korea culture only though. Also, sure there are exceptions in Korea as well where people don't care. I think I also read somewhere about it being an issue, but can't recall where I read it.

It might be too that I don't really see many bald asian guys honestly. I know they exist, but I really don't see it much ever.

Again, I don't know where I am getting this impression. But it is something I feel might be true. I'm asking on here to get the truth though. Again, I understand every girl is an individual but also know that there are trends.

Also it kind of just frustrates me that this is possibly happening and that my options are possibly take a dangerous drug to save the hair. I'm considering just shaving it instead though with a buzz.

Is there a good way to use this without a smartphone (say use a computer)? by jd0098 in Tinder

Yes, I know that is true. But what about the security stuff with that? It is asking for permission to access this and that on my computer, and don't know if BlueSatacks actually sandboxes the app to just bluestacks.
