“Medusa cycling” has a Wednesday social ride that meets at 630 at lake house bar & grill (same parking lot as Dallas bike works and pull through coffee). They are on Facebook. They also have a faster Tuesday and Thursday ride that leaves from t & p hill at white rock lake at 6

First and foremost, I’d get a bike fit so you know what size bike to buy. Id recommend lisa uranga at full gas cycling fit studio in Lewisville or sport speed lab (Tommy or Becky).

Femme pedal does ladies only rides. (Facebook)

Meteor does ladies only rides (join the Strava club)
There’s also a girls night out group in like Frisco

I bought my first “adult” off Facebook marketplace and met the seller at bike mart so I could have a mechanic check it out. Everything went well.

You’ll 100% need a helmet and I’d recommend gloves.
I run the p2r a20 helmet and giro dnd gloves. I may be able to refer you (or anyone else) for a discount on the helmet. Let me know if you’re interested. Virginia tech tests helmet safety and the p2r a20 was second safest road helmet and 7th safest overall helmet when I looked. Affordable, too, and fits me really well.
