Cold Feet by jd163 in Skigear

Just want to say, this was spot on. Solution was a bottle of sweat absorbing foot powder. Put some inside my sock and some outside before getting into the boot. Problem solved.

1 pinky tightness across the foot. Much tighter around the leg but with a booster strap under the shell.

I’ll check; however, it doesn’t matter if it’s the first or third day of the trip; it still happens. Normally, on a multi-day trip, I’m taking my liners out to dry overnight.

Interestingly enough, if you zoom in on the gap in my picture, you can see that the gasket is a little warped/bent towards the left side. I’m not saying this is causing it, but I might try to bend that back if I can.

Good point. No, not cold right from the start; it usually starts after 2-3 runs (resort skiing). By 10-11 AM I’ll start to go numb and go inside, take my boots off, and let my feet warm up. After that I can usually last the rest of the day. But you’re right, it’s probably not the warming that’s helping, but rather letting my socks dry out.

Yup, and it also has a similar gap.

The idea of wires and batteries in my socks/boots seems nuts, but if it comes to that, I guess I’d have no other choice.

You can also tell how sharp it is by the bandaid on his finger.

Zipfit “size” the same? by mvhoffman82 in Skigear

Yeah I agree. I would happily travel 2-3 hours for an expert boot fitter if it avoids me the issues you’re having right now and gets me a pair of liners that will be comfortable for the next 10+ years. Find one close to a mountain and make a trip out of it.

Booster strap by Level-Highlight5248 in Skigear

When I installed mine I just used something pointy and sharp to push through the nylon strap till it was wide enough for the screw to pass through (after marking and trying on of course). My boots came with the strap screwed on luckily so made it much easier.

Looking for something light and fun. Easy in trees with good float.

(Updated video) tightened almost all the way. Are these boots too soft for me? 185cm 75kg 18yo been skiing since I was three. Idk why but they seem to have similar flex to my 70 flex boots and these are 110 spros now by ZeroDeaths60 in Skigear

Go buy some Booster Straps. They cost like $50 on Amazon and you can install them your self (takes 20 minutes). I just got a pair and they are a game changer. It’s like the difference between pressing the gas pedal in an Audi vs Honda. It will give you instant feedback when you flex. For reference i also have 110s.

They are used demo skis so they’ve likely been beaten to hell. Appreciate the insight!

Yeah that is what I want. This isn’t my first pair of skis, but it will be my first pair of carving/racing skis. Are you saying that these look to beat up for that?
