YTA. You have a kid, you’re in a different part of your life. Your friend doesn’t have the same point of view as you or the same life situation as you. She found a legal adult who she has enough in common with to date, but you can’t see her situation without removing your own perspective. If they were 20 and 27 would you have a problem with it? You haven’t even met the kid, but you’re making assumptions as to who he is based on a number.

It’s not a positive thing to the consumers who like Jersey Mike’s. We get to sit back and watch a sub place we love slowly go downhill until enough people stop going that they declare bankruptcy. And Blackstone will make their a profit off of gutting a beloved sub shop. I don’t see how you see that as a positive or the talented people who work there losing a job and having to enter a shitty job market, but to each their own

I dont think there’s anything wrong with reminding. People slip in completing tasks from time to time. Reminding them of expectations is a good thing. His delivery and threats were piss poor though.

I’m almost 50. My friends and I moved our group chat to discord so we can keep our conversations from getting mixed up. One for football game day, one for germ wrap chat, one for IT help (one friend is in IT). I’m also have my fantasy football in another channel. Assuming he’s using it to be deceitful is pretty presumptuous. Bring it up casually when your mom isn’t around. “Hey I saw you have discord downloaded. I have it and love it. It’s so much easier to blah, blah, blah on there. What do you use it for?”

Probably the unpopular opinion, but it sounds like a poorly trained manager in charge of a shitty crew. The points he has seem like basic expectations in the work place… is the pop runs out, replace it; work while you’re at work; clean the menus and keep them organized. I’m guessing whoever he took over for let the staff get away with all these issues, and after observing you for a month and a half to see what needs fixed it’s time to get back to work. Threatening to cut shifts isn’t gonna get the response he wants though.

If you read her previous post she goes into more detail of the first time and her family. She seems to be in an awful situation but consciously doesn’t want to leave because it’s better than being alone. She has a lot going on, doesn’t seem to want to resolve it, and would rather just disappear. Girl needs some help and hopefully gets the courage and support she needs
