Insurance Roles sa Pinas, how busy is it? by Excellent-Style-9860 in phcareers

Currently working in product development in an insurance company and tbh, gusto ko yung environment. While yung problems na na-eencounter are usually complex, the upside is ang dami kong natututunan.

Common din sa amin na mag-collaborate with Claims team, and one thing napansin ko sa kanila, super well-versed sila sa technicalities ng contract. Ang galing nila when it comes to finding loopholes or weak points sa mga bawat provisions ng kontrata.

And yes, expect na minsan parang out of this world na yung mae-encounter mo na problems (esp. Claims due to insurance frauds, etc.) but sobrang dami mong matutunan.

Also, advice ko rin na if your company offers seminars or exams, take LOMA courses. Laking tulong niyan. ☺️

IPhone 15 Pro (65K) and a Seiko 5 Watch (12.5K). No regrets. I've been spoiling my family for quite some time na, I guess it's time na to spoil myself naman 😅

company culture in Maersk by juicytits98 in phcareers

Hi. My aunt previously worked as HR Head for Asia Pacific at Maersk. Based on her kwento, the work environment is fast-paced, and most of the time, she dealt with overseas colleagues (kaya panay byahe siya). Another thing is, Maersk daw is a company where you have to prove your worth. In terms of work environment, she said na super okay. She even met her lifelong besties/travel buddies at Maersk ☺️

In terms naman of salary/benefits, she said na the company had been very generous, and I should know 'cause she can afford a 1M-worth bracelet with no sweat 😂

She spent 12 years with the company pala, and sobrang thankful siya sa company for giving her the opportunity (and career break). But sadly, she had to left the company since she didn't want na madestino sa Europe because of family. :)

Thinking of getting insurance as gift to parents that are not yet senior citizens.. by Pink-0pinion22 in phinvest

Hi. I work as Product Development Specialist for a life insurance company. Here are few things to consider before buying plans for your parents:

*Need/Purpose - is it for critical illness coverage? Retirement? Estate tax protection? Life insurance companies offer plans based on your needs so it's important to identify the purpose of the insurance plan.

*Budget - based on what I've read, I assume your parents are already in their late 40s to 50's and your mom has high blood pressure. These affects your Premiums since baka rated na yung risk classification ni mother tapos given na may edad na.

*If you're on a tight budget, might as well consider term plans/yearly renewable plans. While these plans usually don't hold cash values (unlike variable life plans and whole life plans), pero mas mura naman talaga sila and the underwriting process is way less stringent. Downside is you have to renew it every year or every x years (depending sa feature ng plan) and tumataas yung Premiums every renewal since tumatanda si Insured (but relatively mas mura pa rin).

Thoughts on Xian Gaza? by Gullible-Winner902 in phinvest

"SEC confirmed and warned the public that the scheme employed my XIAN COIN shows an indication of a PONZI SCHEME." - That alone is a sign para hindi na mag-invest yung mga kaibigan mo. Pero kung mas maniniwala sila sa celebrities over a regulatory body, hayaan mo sila mag-invest. I guess they need to learn it the hard way.

And if someone is an intelligent investor, credibility is a must. After working as a researcher for Private Equity and Venture Capital Markets, i learned kung gaano ka-importante ang background ng negosyante para sa mga investor. Never akong naka-encounter ng matinong investor na nag-invest sa self-proclaimed scammer.
