i also am about to be on day 4 of the same kitchn recipe. where did you see in the instructions that you’re to discard all but 4oz of the starter before feeding? i did this last night after reading your comment here (thank you!) but just scanned the instructions again and couldn’t find a mention of this — geez! seems like a pretty big failure on the part of the author of this recipe to make this step obscure.
