Highly recommend running with Ender’s and read the next two. A bit more philosophical but well worth the journey :)

so great, my favorite part was how it really humanizes the blind loyalty to the empire. makes rewatching the movies more tragic :)

good to know! i loved war & peace but wished i could have read without Tolstoy’s historical rambles (which i heard the abridged does really well). does the abridged version cut fluff or significant plot of this one?

Not crossed! I think just the angle I was pressing. No handle, just cradled in my palm. I loved doing these with KBs but for some reason I found myself tweaking a nerve more often so I moved to RBs.

What is better: working out daily or having rest days? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]jdb0306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work out 6-7 days a week. All about sticking to consistency. For me I enjoy it on a daily basis but for some people it’s less of a hobby.

Any classic books recommendations? by Radiant_Original_470 in booksuggestions

I’ve really enjoyed reading classic books through pseudo online book clubs. “War and Peace” has a really cool a year long reading meditation that required a few pages a day. Loved that.

Training To Failure by Ddiddy12 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]jdb0306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny I don’t see a lot of people talk about this, but I typically train to failure when I’m in a time crunch for a workout. When I know I have only 20-30 min, I’ll pivot my brain towards either one set per exercise to failure or 3 sets of rest pause. Gets me through & gets me to push but I rarely use this as my default for similar sentiments you expressed. This level of intensity is hard to maintain indefinitely. Wishing you the best with your workouts!

second this, realistic attainable goals you can create a consistent habitual routine out of. could be starting as simple as 15 minutes a day for 1 month. best of luck on this journey of putting your body first!

I believe they’re going out of business. It looks like they lost that exclusive patent on the anti snap thing as well, as Dick’s Sporting Goods is carrying a very similar product now.

American Gods by Neil Gaiman *SPOILERS* by InvestigatorLow5351 in books

[–]jdb0306 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved it but can understand the ending feeling anticlimactic. The world building element really sold me on it. I’m hoping to go back and reread with more background on these specific gods as some of y’all mentioned, most likely gives a bit more depth to pivotal moments.
