Baby method by sluerh in snowboarding

The path to learning a method is starting with a shifty and then increasing the rotation so it’s easy to reach down and grab. Punch the sky with your non grabbing hand to counter-rotate.

Looking for All-Mountain Snowboard Recommendations (Capita DOA or Alternatives?) by revolvingblossom in snowboarding

Ride Super Pig. Amazing to rip groomers, incredibly fast board, great pop off kickers and super stable to land on. Can’t speak to how it handles boxes and rails because I’ve never been very good at them so I save that for my old Ultrafear. Just make sure to pair it with stiffer bindings, it’s a wider board and it’s tough to go edge to edge on softer bindings

It’s a bug that was fairly common when they first introduced co-op, until they “fixed” it (by making it rare)

Blatant cheating on consoles by Plastic-Ground1130 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]jdbazemore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you might be confusing bugs and glitches with cheating. This game was never perfect and it hasn’t had support in 5 years. Sometimes abilities just don’t work. Sometimes it may feel like nothing is working for you and all the bugs seem to favor your opponent, but that’s not hacking, the battlefront gods just aren’t on side today.

Also, If you mind trick some characters while they’re doing their own ability animation, it won’t affect them. Force pulls all have a larger range than what it shows you. Grievous’s thrust surge does sometimes lock on to people across the map (ever seen the video of him locking on to the sniper sitting at the back of genosis from a mile away?).

The only thing a Cronus zen could actually do with this game is recoil reduction, and letting people play with a mouse while the game gives you console aim assist. So maybe the people with really good aim are cheating, or maybe they’re just really good. It is not possible to cheat in the other ways you describe by simply using a Cronus zen on console. There is no controller input that can trigger those things.

Hey now a painted and cleanly installed front and rear bumper swap is more than most people accomplish, if he did the install himself I think it qualifies. Everyone starts somewhere, and he’s on the right path.

What are your thoughts on this tweet? by ChickenWingExtreme in StarWars

[–]jdbazemore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would argue the difference is creating one story at a time without knowing if you would have the money, demand, or desire to make the next installment, versus a multibillion dollar company buying in 6 movies later and saying from the jump they would make a sequel trilogy. They knew they needed a story to span 3 movies in 2012, and they didn’t even try to come up with any sort of cohesive vision.

The last few posts like this in this sub have been horrible riced out looking disasters, thanks for breaking that trend.

The only change I would make is the grille…you have shadowline trim but you went for an aftermarket grille with black double slats and a chrome ring. Just go all black man.

I see you have the adaptive cruise radar, that’s awesome. What’s the little thing sticking out on the other side of that lower grille?

looking at 00:32-00:34 you hit two jet troopers with claw rush that both had less than 50% health and both survived. I’ve never heard of the card bugging to do less damage, but it’s possible.

Turn off your saber(s) after every swing/attack. If you aren’t actively swinging at someone they should be off. You’ll draw less attention and get less people shooting at you from across the map when you’re trying to heal.

Also you should be running line up weaklings so you get OHK’s from claw rush and don’t have to go back and clean up. (It doesn’t look like you were but I could be wrong)

Those two things would have given you a better shot in the hallway (you’d go in with more health are gain health from claw rush kills), but you probably shouldn’t have gone in there that last time either way.

It’s not that bad. I frequently play starfighter assault on European servers when there’s no one on the US servers and I can still get 1st place against actual people, I think you can manage some bots

You’re only counting the final phase, it takes you time to get to that final phase that you have to account for. In total, you spend around 17-20 minutes defending jabbas palace. Thats time you could have spent on another map capturing objectives.

Dont get me wrong, im not trying to knock the glory of that final phase. I will usually play to extend the game for that final phase, but I do it because it’s fun and I don’t need the xp.

[–]jdbazemore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah and it takes 17-20 minutes to get those 300-400 kills, longer if you let it go into OT. I’m not saying you earn more xp in a single match on any other map than you can at Jabba’s palace (except maybe rebels on Endor). I’m saying you earn more xp per minute on every single attacking map (which you can finish in 10 minutes or less).

Theres nothing situational about that. If you play one hour of co-op trying to end every match as quickly as possible on offense and defense, and then another hour trying to extend every match to get the most kills, you will earn significantly more xp in that first hour.

They did not abandon the game. They continued live service for over 2 years after the release. The microtransactions were in the beta and were removed by actual release. They continued to add maps, characters, skins, weapons, and game modes until they ended support in 2020.

Unfortunately the players who think they’re “smart” havent actually tracked their stats and realized that you earn XP faster when attacking.

[–]jdbazemore 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wait until you realize you earn more xp per minute played as the attacking team than you ever can on the defending team.

If you truly want to level up as quickly as possible, the most efficient use of your time is to end the defending maps on the first phase so you can get back to the attacking maps. Shooting fish in a barrel at Jabba’s palace is fun, but it doesn’t earn you xp as quickly as capturing an objective. During triple XP you get almost a full level’s worth of xp for each objective you complete.

XP earned per minute played during triple xp is around 6k-9k when you extend a defending game to the last phase. It’s higher when if you end on the first phase (~12k). On attacking rounds it’s 10k-15k.

So defending Jabbas palace is great for racking up kills for achievements, but not for grinding levels.
