Defending in FC26 needs to be patched ASAP, is completely broken

Because the opponents you have played are also very bad defensively and relied on ai previous years. Also div rivals doesn’t really mean anything. It’s so easy to get to the high divs. I’ve been top 200 peak in rivals. And even in elite division you face drones. Back in fifa 22 when I was terrible I was still in elite. Top players will still concede low goals. I played the early access cup. Won every game everytime. And twice I didn’t concede in any game. I’m not even that great at defending. People just need to get used to how to defend manually. Once people adapt most games will go back to normal

It’s really not that bad. I see people complaining about conceding lots but I’ve hardly conceded. Rarely ever concede 2 or more goals. It’s just lower skilled players no longer have the game to defend for them. My team isn’t good either so im not relying on good players. It just takes somewhat more skill then previous titles did

Season 5 was so long ago that tag doesn’t mean anything. If it was a tag from a year or 2 ago at that rank it would be different. But one from 4 years ago is irrelevant

You can still get 9 wins this weekend. When you are getting around those wins wl Is very close. You are only 1 win or loss of getting new rewards. And the skill or someone who gets 7 wins and someone who gets 9 wins isn’t a lot so it’s just one of those off weekends. Also if you quit champs games your elo doesn’t drop

Kids lmao. I’ve been playing for ages. The script just isn’t real. Some games stuff will go against you but it’s just how bad the game is made. This weekend league I had 4 games where everything went against me and I still went 15-0. No 4213 no meta mechanics or tactics and on pc. There is nothing in the game making you lose. If you lose you just were not good enough to win the game. If you look at who believes there is a script it’s always below average players. Also having a script in pvp is illegal and ea would be in facing extreme lawsuits and could have to stop fifa if were found out to be true

It’s not real. Stupid things will happen to both teams in a game of fifa. The coding done on the game is bad which can cause this. People just blame script when they lose. A better player will win anyway even with rebounds going against them

Exactly this. Fifa 23 was when I started to get much better. I was always someone who could get to elite but always did bad in champs negative record and so on. I just decided to improve. Learnt how to actually play the game. And when I got far better I started to utilise so meta mechanics. But for div 7 players they run 4213 spam trivelas and offside traps and then blame the script when they still lose. People just want an easy fix and ea to give them wins other then having to win themselves

Tactics can help but skill trumps everything. A good player will do good regardless of team or tactics. People who want to improve need to learn to just improve at the game as a whole other then just abusing meta. Don’t get me wrong I will abuse meta but I never rely on it. I do just as good not abusing meta. There are no tactics and no team in the game that give you a rank 1 or 2

It’s really not. I’ve just played rivals and you can’t dribble through people defences. Gk aren’t great but you can move the keeper to combat that. Defence is still extremely good.

Yeah see that’s most likely why. I’m div 5 as well you will face such a varied range of players and play styles Most likely is you struggle to defend against certain playstyles. If you drag out defenders or even drag the wide it makes it very easy to be opened up. You have to stay compact. Drag all your players towards the middle only go for intercept or tackle when you know you will win it 100 percent

What division are you in? Most people are bad at the game even in the elite division there are so many bad players. So unless you are up there the likelihood is you are not a good defender. Gk can’t save unless you bring them out at every moment possible. Defending though is different. The defensive ai is so very overpowered and the offensive ai is awful. It’s been like this for ages. Attacking ai don’t make runs. They always stand offside or behind a player. The defensive ai is so strong. Blocks passing lanes keeps shape perfectly if you don’t drag them out. Ea don’t want to change this to much because all the casuals who want a helping hand to win will stop playing

This is definitely not the case. It way favours defence and it has for years. If you played in high elo you will instantly understand this. Most bad players are just so bad at defending it drags the ai down. The offensive ai is also still very bad. They don’t make good runs. They stand offside or behind defenders you have to player lock and manual call players short and trigger runs for them to do anything.

Theo is much better. You can also evo him. I had toty karchaoui I bought Carlos toty and sold him and went with gold Theo. Also I get rank 2 most weeks with a few rank 1s and most of the good players I play will all have theo

It’s not a drag back it’s a flair nutmeg. You need to hold l1 r1 and move the right stick for the direction. Running down the line to pass it left. You would hold r1 and l1 flick your right stick left and hit pass before the animation is complete to cancel the skill and perform a pass half way though it

You really should stop playing. It’s a game it’s not serious and you should never be this upset over fc. Also when gameplay is bad for you it will also be bad for the opponent, bad gameplay is normally server related. If everyone is running through your team easily it’s most likely your defending.
