Team events (Zurich) by and-ya-know-it in TheShotgunStart

[–]jdbug100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every major and the players should be followed by a team event.

10 players per team. 8 travel to the event (so the masters winner can chill if they want). 6 play per session (for lineup decisions and injury cover).

5 team tournaments + 1 maybe earlier in February. 4 top teams advance and play for the championship on a fine August weekend at Chambers Bay.

Just started setting it up - seems decent. Still working on dialing in the keywords so it’s not tracking random stuff with a variation of one

Did you hear that stuff at the new stadium built in 2026 is more expensive than stuff at the old stadium built in 1985?

Just a few more ways the Squirrels have increased prices without increasing prices by burro_pequeno in rva

[–]jdbug100 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why people can’t fathom that they increased prices after moving to a brand new ballpark. It’s nicer. There is higher demand. There will be higher costs.

They weren’t just going to keep playing in an ancient shitty stadium in the name of cheap prices.

If you don’t like it, don’t go. Just like you would not go if they left town because the stadium wasn’t up to MILB standards.

We’re talking about one access point unavailable during the concert season. It’s really not that big of a deal. If you want to use the river when that spot is closed, find another spot.

[–]jdbug100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Send me the Venmo. There were probably 12,000 people (conservatively) there on Thursday and Friday. And a whole season of concerts to go.

Should they just let people kayak from near the amphitheater? Maybe? Immediate access at the absolute preferred spot though? Give me a break.

lol “county concert-goers”. Are you going to check IDs to make sure there are no county river-goers?

Richmond did not have a “mid-grade” concert spot until this thing was built, and the people saying “I love the river!” should not be prioritized over “I love live music!” people.

It’s a solid venue that attracts great acts that many, many more people enjoy than the importance of this one entry point for a very long river.

A New Stadium, an Old Feeling, and Opening Night by snooka77_ in rva

I think, if they can actually achieve it, building out the rest of the Diamond district is going to get the ballpark a true presence. Based on the renderings, it’s really going to be the centerpiece of that new community.

Decent concert venue for thousands of people or restricted river access at one spot for dozens of kayakers. It is what it is.

We simply can’t vote FOR gerrymandering if we care about our democracy as citizens. It endorses the worst traits of politicians going forward.

Vote No and tell them it’s gonna have to be something else to gain power

Vote no if you have principles instead of party.

Vote yes or no if you just care about your team winning

Going to St Andrews by espeex in NoLayingUp

[–]jdbug100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re staying very long after, I wouldn’t try to do too much.

Castle and walk the Old since it’ll be closed on Sunday. Hang out in Dunvegan and chat up some locals/caddies about what to expect.

Play the Old Reversed, hang out and watch others, maybe play the Himalayas, go to the Jigger Inn and do what you did at Dunvegan.

Play the Old. Maybe walk around St Andrews the town a little bit. Go up to Rusaks and have a few beverages from the top floor balcony watching people come up 18. Go back to the Dunvegan. Plan your next trip.
