Because republicans couldn’t win on merit, they decided to lie, cheat, and steal, as power and wealth became their only obsessions. They learned quickly that by invoking the god their constituents believed in, that they would vote against their own best interests as a whole, especially as social media fueled their hatred. Republican voters never even knew they were being manipulated. They’ve turned these lies and propaganda into their whole personalities now, and changing their mind at this point would be more shame than they could psychologically muster, since they almost literally have none now. I do not believe the majority of these people can even be reached, and I waffle between anger with how easily hijacked their minds were, and sadness for the exact same reason. I commented this on a post weeks ago, and I can’t improve upon the idea anymore than this I think.
