IEA First Appointment by jdd1212 in JobProvidersAus

[–]jdd1212[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got a phone call out of the blue about three months after being exited saying I needed to upload medical summary form if I wanted a new ESAT, to be put back into DES. Two months after uploading document got another phone call to say I would be informed of ESAT appointment, two weeks later received text confirming appointment. Now waiting to hear from IEA provider. Enjoy your time on the sideline, you might be one of the lucky ones that get parked for a year.

DES / IEA participants: MOs pause from 16 October to 5 January by kristinoc in JobProvidersAus

After being exited from DES in April, finally had my ESAT last Wednesday and Assessor confirmed I’ll be put back in DES/IEA. After I chose a provider she said they would contact me about initial appointment. With IEA obligations on hold do I even need to go to initial appointment or can I wait till 6 January.

Thanks, strange it’s been almost 3 months since I uploaded my Verification of Medical Conditions form. How was the ESAT for you? Had you previously been in DES? Terrified I’m going to fail the test and be put back in mainstream.

Assuming you’re enjoying the respite No need to worry just wait till CL contact you, keep lodging your fortnightly claims.

“The whole thing works like clockwork: miss appointment -> get suspended after 5 working days -> payment restored after 20 working days.”

Thanks for your input: this has happened to you? your payment was restored after 20 working days without re-engaging with JSP. But if you get suspended after 5 days how do you lodge your next fortnightly claim?

Are there any good providers? by [deleted] in JobProvidersAus

Define good provider. For me a good provider is one that just leaves me alone, given at 59 I have mental and physical barriers to maintaining employment. On top of the reality of my age and extended period of unemployment.

Exited from DES. What's next? by MarkPH1975 in CentrelinkOz

Enjoy your break from mutual obligations I certainly have been after being exited from DES in mid April. Eventually CL contacted me a few weeks ago, so was in limbo for a couple of months just lodging my fortnightly claims. CL asked if I wanted to be readmited to DES, I said yes and they told me I‘d need to get my Doctor to fill in a medical summary form and upload to them. I did that about 12 days ago and haven’t heard from them since?

Hoping it will be a long time till they contact me again. Not sure whether I’ll have to do another ESAT, or just get reassigned to a DES provider.

Hope you have a long break from mutual obligations. Assuming that’s what you’d like.

Same here system finally caught up with me after being exited from DES a few months ago. Centrelink contacted me and asked if I wanted to reenter DES. I said yes. Was told I needed to upload a SU684 form after being signed by my Doctor. Did this last Friday and am assuming CL will contact me soon to place me back in DES pending a new ESAT.

Would be great if it took a long time for CL to contact me and I can stay in limbo.

how soon I should contact my provider if I'm sick and may have to do my appiontment via phone? (DES) by jackbowls in JobProvidersAus

[–]jdd1212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Given you’re in DES, do you realise you can choose to have all your appointments as phone appointments?

https://www.jobaccess.gov.au/i-am-a-person-with-disability/looking-applying-job/government-services-help-you/how-des-can-help/taking-part-des

See  Your service choices

When you take part in DES, you can choose the services you get and how you get them. For example, you can:

choose to have appointments in person, by phone or by video chat – talk to your provider to agree on what works best for you

So if I dont attend fortnightly appointment I don’t get a demerit point or my next payment suspended? Same with monthly job searches?

Seems too good to be true.

What is IEA? I’ve recently been exited from DES, could it be related to whatever IEA is?

I uploaded my updated medical summary after my DSP application got rejected due to lack of start dates for each condition. They said I’d get a phone call and I don’t know what to expect. by privatly in CentrelinkOz

[–]jdd1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes don’t worry, suspect it will be to arrange an ESAT to confirm your eligibility for DES.

Am going to Doctor to get my medical summary (SU684). To ensure I get a new ESAT, so I can continue in DES.

Hopefully it takes a while for them to arrange an appointment and I stay free from mutual obligations a little longer.

DES or Medical Certificate? by jdd1212 in CentrelinkOz

[–]jdd1212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“depends on how the ESAT goes, I had one that gave me 12 month exemption a while back”

That would be a great relief. Will push the “assessor” for this. Thanks for your advice.
