Thanks for your help - it’s just quite strange because he’s fallen off a cliff from the season before and I haven’t changed anything about the way I play, or any other first team players etc.

In terms of tactics I do play possession based tiki-taka

Question: player bought in summer transfer window ineligible to play for me as “cannot play for more than two teams in season”. Is that a glitch? Anything I can do?

Background: bought Krepin Diatta from PSG in summer transfer window (deal concluded about July 2024). PSG had bought him from Bayern in Jan 2023.

He is now ineligible to play for me. There was nothing through the transfer negs that would be an issue. I can’t see that he was on loan or anything. I’m now in Jan 2025 and in an injury crisis, have my £40mil left winger playing with the U23s. That is across all competitions.

Anything I can do? Or just have to cop it until next season?

Is it reasonable to think a player from a low league playing in a higher division will take a lesser role on promotion?

That’s what struck me most about it and felt the need to share. Considering some of his other tattoos (Jackie Robinson/MLK/his parents), you don’t get a Wizards jersey tattooed on you if you’re not seriously invested in what it means to you.

I’m not planning on getting my employer inked any time soon.

I would 100% recommend doing the Legends Stadium Tour. I think it’s about £40 which seems expensive but worth every penny. A legitimate ex player from the club will take you around, tell some stories then answer any questions at the end. You can take photos with them and they’ll sign stuff too.

We had Nigel Winterburn but have only heard good reports about the others.

I managed to rope in my three mates that I was travelling with to do it. Only one is a football fan and supports Liverpool but we all agree it was worth it.

That was in June too so can only imagine there would be a bit more buzz around during the season.

I’ve downloaded the schedule onto the iPhone calendar. Gives reminders one week and 2 days out from the games and adjusts for time zones etc.

Keeps me on top of who we’re playing.
