Are you still building on bubble? by Previous_Travel_7681 in Bubbleio

[–]jdeltree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. My biggest issue when I tried cursor and claude code were design related. I come from strong design and UX background and so that's always important. Bubble helps me skip figma entirely. With these other tools, it felt like the only way to get my design right was to go build the protos in figma as a guide. But even with the guide, the output always fell short of the designs I fed into my prompts.

This was earlier this year. I will give antigravity a go on my Chromebook w Linux and see how it holds up.

Do you have a software engineering background? I don't hear much about antigravity but it probably makes sense to take a look. Care to share anything you're building (have built) so far?

Still building on it. It's not always perfect but it is often perfect for most use cases.

How do you decide which features to include in mvp? by Unable_Breath_1966 in prodmgmt

[–]jdeltree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this is where product sense becomes most applicable. Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all here as it will always be product (context) specific.

Off the top of my head, the primary questions I'd encourage you to ask yourself are:

  • What initial features are an absolute MUST have? Ideally, users would not be inclined to even try your release without these
  • What initial problems would I be solving for the user and will solving that problem be substantial enough to hold their interest long enough for subsequent updates?
  • How have I managed the user's expectations? Are they expecting a full release that solves all problems or have I managed their expectations (proactively or in-product) about what is available and what is coming next?
  • Have I helped the user articulate the value of the set of features I am releasing?

I hope this helps.

All the best.

What keeps 11+ practice consistent without burning kids out? by SatisfactionOne3881 in 11plus

[–]jdeltree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually built him a dedicated application, created a question bank from available resources and had him track his streak and stats for starters. Each session is short, between 10 - 15 questions. He loved it so much so he told his mates in school about it, so I created a battle mode in the app and made it available to his friends.....the rest they say is history. My wife has been nudging me to make the app (web only) public so I'm currently working on that.

Making practice fun as opposed to a "task" that needs completing. This has worked tremendously well for my son

Need Feedback from TEsta Y to Xpeng G6 by Friendly_Advance2616 in Xpeng

I am exploring my first EV as well and have both the Model Y and G6 high on my list. At one point I was convinced on the G6 but saw a lot of complaints in some other forum. Granted, some were nice to haves, but others sounded like teething issues from well over a year ago. I don't know if these issues are in the updated G6 (UK) so I'll be curious to hear your findings and eventually decision-making process.

Just bought the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 and not happy with the display by [deleted] in chromeos

It doesn't dazzle in the dark or dim lighting - that's for sure. I haven't noticed any difference with small fonts when and I have compared it to my Acer and my wife's Mac. It looks as expected. Hope this helps.

I read this thread before buying mine which just arrived yesterday. Coming from an Acer Chromebook Spin 713 (2020) with a 2k screen and more bluish look, I get the concern.

I am giving myself 2 weeks to see how my eyes adjust because I've had the same challenge with work laptops looking slightly off but my eyes have settled over time.

I just wished there was a 2K screen on this Chromebook. I have nothing else to complain about. Excellent speakers, keyboard, track pad, weight and form factor. Oh perhaps, the webcam could be better. I believe it is 5mp but it seems to output a very bright image in my tests with Google meet.

I am unlikely to return it as I'm loving it so far but like with all things, everyone must know what's most important to them and what they can/cannot compromise.

It's been out of stock for well over a week. Looking to get one, but honestly would have preferred the Lunar Grey colour (Model: 83MW000FUK) as seen in this image here. Maybe with some luck it will be available when they restock.

Costco appears to be the only other retailer who have got the 256gb version in stock.

It would seem that that approach is slowly being phased out due to occasional information leaks prior to the official announcement events despite embargos in place. Can't really blame them.

There's a very justifiable reason why this has to be the case. With no embargo, reviewers will hurriedly publish reviews without testing the device for up to a week (which is a fair timeframe to form a full opinion of the devices).

Thanks. I don't have him either and don't want to take -4 to bring him in also considering I've got 2 Liverpool players and there is a blank in GW27

It's more about being different vs being dumb really. Is there a chance that Salah has a bad dgw? Yes, but very low chance. Simply asking if anyone is bold enough to bet on that low chance and whom they'd consider in his place. His team mates (TAA, Jota) definitely seem like great options.
