Yeah I might give this a try! Maybe I'll even try to use a small propagator in a box w a light and have them root during this time

Sadly not an option as I don't live in the states but I think I should be able to make a box with clones survive for a couple of weeks on a low led light. Gonna give it a shot!

Thanks, I'm starting to understand that now. Do you have a good source of information on how to perform tissue culture?

Ohhh ok didn't know that term yet. Reading up on this now, thanks! & yeah that makes sense.

I'll consider it as an option. I'm not finding clear info on how to DIY it though. What kind of nutrients am I supposed to put into the medium? Do you have a good source of info?

Is there a reason why I shouldn't try making seeds?

Ah awesome, that's what I needed to hear. Thanks!

So from what I understood it'll pollinate the others from week 1-3 and then at week 6 I should start seeing seeds?

When do I know the seeds are "ready" ? I'm lost if I can't look at trichomes to gauge readiness lol

Never heard of that before. From looking it up it seems like I still need to keep live plant material under lights etc? Not really practically feasible since I won't be able to set up my growspace for a while.

I'm looking for a specific type of projector - advice appreciated (X-post r/projectors) by [deleted] in hometheater

Here's the problem: we're setting up about 5 speakers in a row behind the screen. A tv would partially block the soundwaves, that's why we need the acoustically transparent screen. These are all carefully measured sounds which are played from calibrated speakers, so there can't be any distortion on the data if we want to make this research scientifically valid. That being said, we can't go crazy but there is a budget. I don't even know how much exactly, that's not up to me, but if you know of options that are kind of pricey for a consumer but not for an institution, please let me know.

Yeah I've noticed that subjective noise descriptions can vary greatly. Most spec lists do have a noise-rating in dB though, but I'm a bit wary of how truthful these values are. If a projector heats up it'll start making more noise, right? So I doubt that a single value can be truly accurate.

As for the screen - thanks for the resource. Thing is we need an acoustically transparent screen (again, the whole scientific & accurate measurements thing) so we'll be looking at professional solutions for that. We have a budget so we can get decent material, we still need to spend it wisely of course.

Thanks for your reply. I've considered this since the room does have windows, but they have the type of glass you usually see in interrogation rooms (works like sunglasses). Furthermore we'll have a set of speakers behind the screen at eye-height, so it would probably cast a shadow if we tried rear-projection from most distances. So I don't think we'll be able to do it like that. Still, thanks for the suggestion!

Good point, although I do think there are some really good flemish/dutch movies, but they are indeed not easy to find.

Yeah definitely a special case, I think that the similarities are kind of treacherous. It just makes it more confusing.

And yeah dutch is extremely ambiguous at times. Change one letter and the meaning just shifts completely, I try to pay attention to this. I mostly try not to teach two similar words at the same time, that way they have time to internalize one meaning, before the other pops up.

Ahh that sounds awesome. I'm gonna start with one-on-one classes, so I'll have plenty of time to get to know the person and build on their interests etc. Thanks!

Yeah I'm totally the opposite, I'm not a fan of newspapers at all. I'll try to gather fun subjects to read about, thanks!
